Another week, with another lottery millionaire in Canada. Loto-Québec has announced that the last Saturday’s Lotto 6/49 has been quite favorable for one resident of the province. The name of the winner is still not known however, he or she is now significantly richer with CA$11,000,000 to their name. They have 52 weeks to contact the Crown and claim the prize.
Lotto 6/49 is a popular ticket draw-based game, where participants can participate for cash prizes as they have to guess right the winning number combination in each draw. In Canada, the draw for the game is on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Besides the main prize, players can also win a Guaranteed CA$1 million prize, which as the name suggests is worth CA$1,000,000 and there is always a winner.
Saturday’s Winner
On Sunday, the Crown corporation informed the public of Quebec, that a local lottery player is now the winner of a Lotto 6/49 jackpot. The prize amounts to the impressive CA$11,000,000, and the winning numbers during the Saturday’s, August 28 draw were 06, 08, 09, 12, 19 & 26. The bonus number was 43. The agency encourages all players with tickets for the draw to carefully check them.
In addition to the main prize win, the Crown agency reports that the draw has determined that a ticket holder from the province is the winner of Saturday’s Guaranteed CA$1 million prize. The next draw for the Lotto 6/49 will be on Wednesday, September 1, and the main prize will return to its initial amount of CA$5,000,000.
This has been the latest major lottery winning in Quebec, as earlier a ticket holder from the province was also randomly selected as a winner of the Lotto Max prize. The name of the lucky lottery player is still unknown, but his ticket was drawn as the winning one during the August 13 draw of the game. The winning number that the winner has to thank is 01, 14, 17, 20, 28, 32 & 38.
Lotto Max Remains Unclaimed
The lottery corporations of Canada have reported that the last Friday, August 27 draw for the other popular game Lotto Max has remained intact. The winning numbers were 09, 10, 13, 25, 41, 47, 49, and 36 as a bonus number. The next draw is scheduled for August 31, 2021, and the jackpot will rise even higher to the amount of CA$15,000,000.
Last Week Reveals
Last week, Western Canada Lottery Corporation reported Glen Schmidt from Pincher Creek, Alberta, was revealed as a winner of the Lotto Max jackpot taking home the hefty amount of CA$34.1 million. Mr. Schmidt purchased his ticket at the North Hill Shell on Waterton Avenue in Pincher on the morning of the August 6 draw and is now looking for ways to spend the gargantuan lotto prize.
Even more winners from the Canadian lottery were announced last week, as the OLG reported that a group of 13 co-workers have won together a Maxmillion prize. Their prize is CA$1,000,000 and now it will be split between them, as some of them are already planning to purchase new cars, going on a trip abroad, or simply renovating their homes.
