Mississauga Man Is The Latest Lotto Millionaire

Canada has officially learned the name of its new lottery millionaire as the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation has most recently revealed the name of its latest big winner. Raymond Rooke from Mississauga has been drawn as one of the winners of the CA$22.8 million jackpot in the Lotto 6/49 game. Mr. Rooke will claim half of the prize accumulating to the amount of the hefty CA$11.4 million.

To this day lottery games have remained fan-favorite due to their simplistic yet extremely entertaining nature. Every year Canadians win hundreds of dollars in lottery prizes in both physical and online ticket offerings. In Ontario, the regulator responsible for all lottery solutions is Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation and it has revealed its latest big winner.

Major Winnings

Fate smiled upon the 59-year-old Mississauga man when he was drawn as one of the winners of the Lotto 6/49 jackpot on the April 14 draw. The CA$22.8 million grand prize will be split between him and another ticket holder from Scarborough. Mr. Rooke who is a consistent lottery player plans to share the big prize with his family and give something back to the community.

After arriving to claim his big check the married man stated that he is a regular lotto player and even has an iGaming subscription. He further explained that he relies on the same number combination every week, and it has finally paid off. In his words, he could not believe his own eyes after logging in to his OLG.ca account and saw that he was the winner.

The Mississauga winner who works in finance has also stated that with the big prize money his retirement will also come rather earlier than expected. He also shared his plans to volunteer and help out cancer organizations, in order to give back something to the local community. Mr. Rooke said that the winning has not settled in yet and he still feels like he is in a dream.

No Winner This Week

The Crown agency has revealed that there has not been a winner for last Saturday’s Lotto 6/49 jackpot. The winning numbers 10, 15, 21, 30, 32, 38, and bonus 24 have not found their ticket holder and the jackpot of CA$15 million remains unclaimed. However, one lottery player from Sydney, Nova Scotia, has won the CA$1 million guaranteed prize.

Even More Winners

Back in the middle of April the Crown Corporation has reported that the CA$30 million Lotto Max jackpot will be split between two players. One of the winners is from Burlington, Ontario, and the other lucky player resides in Quebec. Both individuals will have around the impressive CA$15 million to their names, which was determined by the April 13 Lotto Max draw.

Previously, the 62-year-old Peter Kinsman was generously rewarded for playing the lottery. The Woodstock resident has been drawn as the winner of the CA$15 million Lotto 6/49 jackpot. Mr. Kinsman’s luck has definitely changed on February 10, 2021, when the draw has matched his number selection thus rewarding him the impressive prize.
