Loto-Québec Greenlights Casino Lac-Leamy on July 23

Casino Lac-Leamy is about to relaunch its operation on July 23 and all eyes are set on the region ready to welcome back in-person casino gaming. Loto-Québec proudly announced it is ready to see the grand reopening of yet another one of the four casino venues on a provincial scale, now that the government has given its permission for that.

For the past four months, the province of Quebec has been in lockdown state prohibiting in-person casino gaming and gambling venues congregations of all sorts. Protecting both casino patrons and staff members was and still is of utmost importance for the Crown Corporation which is why it waited for the most appropriate time for reopening.

Casino Reopens

Loto-Québec was the first Canadian lottery and gaming leader to mandate the quick closure of four casino venues and two gambling halls mid-March. They have remained closed ever since and the leader relied on online gaming at espacejeux.com and lottery ticket purchases both online and in-person. This helped the gaming revenue of the Crown corporation in this unprecedented situation.

The gradual reopening of gaming hotspots across the province already commenced earlier this month and now it is time for Casino Lac-Leamy to welcome its first casino patrons following more than four months of no action on its premises. July 23 is going to see the official return of live action in the region and projections are that quite the crowd is going to look forward to this moment. Gaming fans will soon have a green light for making their way there.

The Crown corporation revealed more regarding the safety protocols in place during this first phase of the reopening process. Up to 250 individuals will have the chance to enter the casino and gamble in each of the areas. The maximum capacity of the casino venues allowed right now is 1,000 individuals at a time.

Like with the previous reopened casino locations overseen by Loto-Québec, players will have to register and reserve their spot at the gaming offerings ahead of time, so that they do not have to wait outside the venue. In addition to that, they will also have to wear face masks at all times while gambling. Every slot machine used is going to be thoroughly disinfected following each use in order to protect players.

Some of the machines will be switched off, aiming to create space between the working ones and promote physical distancing. Gambling on them will take place via special styluses used for operating the slot games available. They will eliminate touching of the slot machines and optimize their disinfection after every casino patron.

Casino Lac-Leamy will also have its bar closed, but players could enjoy its diverse food offerings. July 3 saw the relaunch of bingo gaming in Quebec. Soon after that, on July 7, VLTs were switched on across the province. July 16 saw the relaunch of Casino Charlevoix and Casino Mont-Tremblant. Casino Montreal will welcome patrons on August 3.
