Lotto Max Jackpot Comes at CA$65M in Next Round

Last Friday’s Lotto Max draw did not find a winner for the mega-million jackpot, which makes the next round even more exciting for players. Now, on Tuesday, May 30, 2023, the game will feature a main prize of CA$65 million. But that is not all, as there will be also eight Maxmillion prizes worth CA$1 million each.

Lotto Max in Canada is a popular lottery game offering players the chance to win big. With a wide range of prize categories and a generous jackpot, it attracts many hopeful participants. The game’s straightforward rules and two draws per week make it an exciting opportunity for players to try out their luck and dream of a life-changing win of up to CA$70 million.

Major Draw Ahead

Players across Canada are now preparing for the next draw of the nationwide game of Lotto Max, which is scheduled for May 30, 2023, and will feature some amazing cash prizes. Starting off with the jackpot which will be CA$65,000,000, which will be a life-changing windfall for many. Followed by a total of eight Maxmillion prizes, each coming at a hefty CA$1,000,000.

For the occasion, Loto-Québec reminded its players that since the launch of Lotto Max in 2009, players in Quebec have won over CA$3.367 billion in the game. Since the introduction, the province has seen 40 jackpot wins, including 3 massive CA$70,000,000, which to this day are the largest lottery prizes won in the history of the province.

Among those three major wins was Marcel Lussier who resides in Brossard and won the life-changing CA$70,000,000 in the June 7, 2022 draw. He found out about his windfall on the day after the draw, and he had trouble with the website as at first, he was kicked off. Interestingly enough the former Hydro-Québec employee obtained his prize in the building he used to work in.

The other two stunning CA$70-million windfalls were claimed on October 9, 2020, and on February 25, 2023. This also includes some other substantial winnings, such as one case of a CA$65,000,000 jackpot, four instances of a CA$60,000,000 main prize, another four CA$55,000,000 jackpots and seven times CA$50,000,000 prizes. There are also 215 Maxmillions acquired by players in Quebec.

Expiring Ticket

In the meantime, the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation is alarmed about an expiring ticket worth CA$70 million, again from the Lotto Max game. Last week, the Crown organization issued a statement to remind Ontarians that a prize of this magnitude won on June 28, 2022, will expire on June 28, as it reaches the 52-week claiming period for lottery prizes.

There is less than a month before the prize expires, and OLG’s spokesperson, Tony Bitonti is worried. The winning ticket was purchased at Scarborough. He said it was not unusual for a lottery winner to take their time and wait a couple of months to claim their windfalls. However, in this very case, it is coming to the wire and he believes that it is quite concerning.
