Last week, the Crown organization issued a statement to remind Ontarians that a prize of this magnitude won on June 28, 2022, will expire on June 28, as it reaches the 52-week claiming period for lottery prizes.
There is less than a month before the prize expires, and OLG’s spokesperson, Tony Bitonti is worried. The winning ticket was purchased at Scarborough. He said it was not unusual for a lottery winner to take their time and wait a couple of months to claim their windfalls. However, in this very case, it is coming to the wire and he believes that it is quite concerning.
