The Western Canada Lottery Corporation has recently revealed the name of one more winner or winner to be exact in the Lotto 6/49 game. Dennis Hines and his family from Alberta have won the impressive amount of CA$18,000,000 in the July 10 draw of the fan-favorite game. Now the prize will be shared between him and his family members.
Mr. Hines has acquired the ticket Marwayne Service and Café, located at 407 Railway Avenue South in Marwayne, Alberta, for him and his children Richard and Shanon. Luck was on his side as he won the ticket on Lotto 6/49 Free Play during the prior draw. Then, he spent CA$1 to add Extra to the ticket.
After arriving at a WCLC office to claim their prize the family shared their thought on the CA $18,680,003.80 winning. At first, the father did not believe that he won such as prize as he saw many zeroes and thought that it was some kind of joke. Then, after realizing the huge win, he quickly contacted his children to break them the great news.
With the hefty payout, the family is quite certain how they will spend it but they have some ideas already. Mr. Hines said that he intends to pay off the truck that he brought for himself a few months ago. The winners also plan to make some donations with a portion of the money to charity organizations that are close to their hearts.
Montreal Winner Revealed
One more recent case of major lottery winning and a shared prize is of Olivia Delos Reyes from Montreal, who won CA$10.9 million from Lotto 6/49. The winner has been playing the lotto for over 16 years with the combination of the same numbers before her luck paying out in the August 28 draw. Now the lucky lady plans on sharing the prize and the joy with her lottery group.
The other quite popular lottery game in Canada is Lotto Max and its draws are scheduled on Tuesdays and Fridays. The next draw on September 24, 2021, will be a major one, as since no one won the jackpot in the last round, now it will grow to over CA$65 million. The six Maxmillion prize have also remained intact.
So far this year the Lotto Max game has been quite generous to its players as the main prize has been won on numerous occasions. This was the case for former military Jansen Ng from East Gwillimbury, who snatched a jackpot worth CA$65 million in the summer. The winner explained that he plans on donating some money to charities and explore new ways of helping out non-profit organizations.
The Noelville couple Marc and Dorothy-Ann Meilleur have also witnessed their life drastically change as the pair won CA$70,000,000 from the fan-favorite game. After playing the lottery for years their luck finally changed with the February 26 draw. With the huge winnings, the couple plans to secure a better future for their three children and seven grandchildren.
