The Western Canada Lottery Corporation reveals that Andrew Weninger has won big in the March 26th draw of the Lotto Max game. The winner is now substantially richer with CA$15,000,000 to his name. Mr. Weninger found out about his major winning while trying to get some sleep but his mother woke him up to tell him the news.
Every week Lotto Max gives its players an opportunity to win huge cash prizes in the size of million Canadian dollars. There are two draws for the game every week, one on Tuesday and the other one on Friday. The main prize can reach the staggering amount of CA$70 million and players can also win a Maxmillion prize, worth CA$1,000,000.
Dreams Come True
After arriving at a WCLC office, Mr. Weninger shared that his mother woke him up while he was trying to get some sleep to tell him the news about the winning. His mother has checked his ticket for the March 26th draw and broke the news to him. He said that he was very surprised to hear about his CA$15 million win and claims that even now he is still in disbelief.
Mr. Weninger purchased his ticket at Pleasantville Rexall Drug Store in Edmonton. He shared some of his ideas on how to spend the money. First, he says that he plans on investing a big portion of it. Then, he intends on buying a car and going back to school. He also wants to travel around the world, when it is safe to do so and has already set sights on London as his first destination abroad.
Jackpots Unclaimed
Lotteries from across Canada have informed the public that last Friday’s Lotto Max jackpot has remained unclaimed. The main prize was worth CA$20 million but no tickets from the country matched the winning numbers. Players should not lose hope as the next draw will be held on Tuesday, September 7, and the jackpot will be increased to a total of CA$25 million.
The other popular lottery game in Canada – Lotto 6/49 has also not found a winner for its main prize last week. The CA$6 million jackpot during last Saturday’s, September 4 draw also remains untouched. However, a Quebec resident has been drawn as the winner of the Guaranteed CA$1 million prize. The main prize for the next draw on September 8 will now be CA$8 million.
Lotto 6/49 Jackpot Won
Last week Loto-Québec announced that the August 28 draw found a winner for the CA$11 million Lotto 6/49 jackpot from Quebec. The winner is not yet revealed by the Crown agency, but the winning numbers were 06, 08, 09, 12, 19, 26. The number 43 was drawn as a Bonus one. The winner now has up to 52 weeks to contact the lottery and claim his winnings.
Group Effort
Recently the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation revealed the winners of a Maxmillion prize from Lotto Max. A group of 13 Ontario colleagues have put a team effort and have been playing the lotto together for several years now, before winning CA$1,000,000. James Stewart appeared at on OLG office to claim the winning on behalf of the whole group and shared his plans of paying bills and renovating his home with his part of the reward.
