Illumination

August 15 is expected to be a memorable day due to all the preparation work that is set to take place before the official start of the spectacular pyrotechnics show in the sky above Gatineau. Illumination is set to change the way people perceive fireworks show, as it will prove being the unique event they have all been looking forward to this summer.

The pyrotechnics show is scheduled to commence at 9 p.m. and last about 15 minutes, so people get the chance to enjoy some breathtaking fireworks art. When art is created live right above the spectators, many things should be taken into account and prepared by the organizers. Casino Lac-Leamy Sound of Light has tons of experience under their belt and the weathered technicians taking care of it all want to prove that this summer could be a special one.

Illumination is going to take place in collaboration with Quebec firm Royal Pyrotechnie, proving once again their high level of professionalism. This is going to be the largest display of summer fireworks in Canada, so inevitable a large congregation of people was going to happen. But there is a solution to that too – Gatineau residents will watch the show in the comfort of their home.

August 15

Casino Lac-Leamy Sound of Light and the FMG are going to make the free fireworks show available for everyone interested. The show will launch from a total of eight locations across the city that will remain unknown until the very beginning of the show. This will make it possible for individuals to be spectators in their own backyard or on their balcony.

In order to prepare the people and allow them to better position themselves ahead of the fireworks show, three practice fires are going to be launched between 8:45 p.m. and 9 p.m. They will signify the eight secret locations across Gatineau. 94.9 Rouge FM is going to provide the musical arrangement synchronized with the fireworks show for a well-rounded experience of light and sound.

The people of Gatineau can tune in at 9 p.m. and listen to the breathtaking sound going perfectly with the show taking place in the sky above them. For the people unable to watch the show in person, the Casino Lac-Leamy Sound of Light Facebook page is going to live stream the entire event.
