The Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation is introducing a first-of-its-kind CA$25 Instant Gold Pursuit ticket. This innovative product combines the thrill of a scratch ticket with a twist on a classic lottery draw, as winning numbers have already been drawn and players have the opportunity to hunt and find a ticket that matches the winning combination.
OLG is a Crown agency that oversees land-based gaming facilities, the sale of province-wide lottery games, Internet gaming, and the delivery of bingo and other electronic gaming products at charitable gaming centres. Since 1975, the corporation has provided around CA$59 billion to the province, supporting health care and youth sports, while also tacking problem gambling.
The Gold Hunt has Now Begun
The Crown reports that there are 50 winning draw tickets which can be found across Ontario, each worth CA$100,000. Once a ticket is purchased, players can check if it comes with a top prize-winning number by using the retailer’s ticket checker or the OLG app. Also, these tickets come with Instant prizes which can range from CA$25 to CA$2,500.
OLG’s Chief Lottery and Customer Officer, Nancy Kennedy, said the Crown is always striving to reimagine the lottery and provide players with more exciting ways of taking home a win. She added that the agency is now able to provide an even larger win for the people in the province, as 100% of the profits from the new ticket will go back to local communities.
Every play with the OLG is a crucial one as all proceeds are invested into the province to support key government priorities such as health care, treatment and tackling of problem gambling, and support for amateur athletes. OLG is one of the largest non-tax revenue engines, and it delivered CA$2.5 billion to the province last year, with almost half of it coming from lottery tickets.
More information on the new and innovative CA$25 Instant Gold Pursuit, such as draw numbers, can be found on the Crown’s official website OLG.ca or by using the OLG app. The agency promotes responsible play and is devoted to aiding players in establishing smart gaming habits, and its PlaySmart program helps players enjoy games in a responsible manner.
Giving Back to Communities
This week, OLG made another important announcement, as it revealed a collaboration with the Toronto Raptors to give back to four local basketball organizations. Via the Home Court Advantage campaign, individuals who play the free Home Court Advantage game on the Toronto Raptors App will be able to help one of the four basketball groups.
However, this is not the first initiative between the Crown corporation and the NBA team. In April 2023, they announced the joint campaign titled “Borough Ballers,” which celebrated Toronto‘s six boroughs. The initiative was a success and managed to generate CA$91,132.00, which was awarded to several community basketball organizations in April 2023.
