IGT and Loto-Québec Extend Partnership

It seems like International Game Technology and Loto-Québec will continue to work together for the foreseeable future. This week, IGT reported that its subsidiary IGT Canada Solutions ULC has struck a five-year contract extension with the Crown agency. Via the agreement, the IGT will deliver cutting-edge VLT software and other related items to the Crown.

IGT is a leading gambling leader, which provides a fun but responsible gaming entertainment via its lottery, gaming machines and sports betting products. It prides itself on a plethora of engaging content, substantial investment in innovation, player insights, operational expertise, and cutting-edge technology, which drive player engagement and growth for its partners.

New and Improved INTELLIGEN™

Via this new contract extension, IGT Canada Solutions has agreed to deliver an enhanced version of its INTELLIGEN™ video lottery central system software and related components to the Crown corporation. As noted, the new contract is five-year long, and it is expected to run to September 2027, thus further strengthening the already fruitful relationship between the two parties.

Nick Khin, IGT Chief Operating Officer, Gaming. Commented that the new version of the VLT will provide the Crown with outstanding tools and functionality that will secure their future success. He further added that the lottery will get the most advanced updates from INTELLIGEN, which would offer it access to reliable insight into the status of the whole VLT network.

According to the two parties, via the new deal, IGT will now update the Crown corporation’s video lottery central system to the newest version of INTELLIGEN. It features improved network diagnostics and data analytics. In addition to that, the gaming provider will also provide operational support for the new system from the European Operational Center.

Loto-Québec has been a long-term customer of the international gambling provider IGT. On top of its INTELLIGEN central system, IGT also delivers VLTs and industry-leading gambling titles, commercial casino cabinets and games, as well as IGT PlayDigital games to the Quebec corporation. The two have been partners since 1978, and it looks like they will continue to be one in the future.

Already a Popular Choice across Canada

In addition to Quebec, the leading supplier has also got its hands on other provincially regulated markets in Canada. In April, the company’s subsidiary IGT Canada Solutions ULC announced will deploy 1,375 CrystalDual® 27 cabinets to the Atlantic Lottery Corporation. The products will be gradually deployed, and all of them should be available by the end of 2022.

Earlier this year, IGT Canada Solutions ULC announced that it will collaborate with Manitoba Liquor and Lotteries Corporation and supply it with its upgraded INTELLIGEN™ video lottery central system. The technology is already used in Manitoba to connect over 6,600 video lottery terminals throughout the province. The contract extension will now be in effect for the next five years.
