Resorts World Hudson Valley Opens This Fall

Soon New York State will have another premium gaming amenity, as Resorts World Hudson Valley is set to open its doors this fall. The new property is located at the Newburgh Mall, and it replaces the recently closed BonTon department store. It will offer plenty of premium entertainment with its cutting-edge slot machines, craps tables, and lounge space.

The new gaming facility is owned by Genting Malaysia and it will soon join its two other amenities in the state – Resorts World New York City and Resorts World Catskills. It will be located in the Newburgh Mall on Route 300 in Orange County, and it is set to provide a perfect weekend getaway for friends who need a break from the grey everyday routine.

Coming Soon

Just recently, the owner of Resorts World Hudson Valley informed the local public that the casino will be making its grand opening this fall. It will offer plenty of gambling options as well as a 360-degree bar. Its gaming and entertainment section will be available 20 hours a day and will offer classic blackjack, craps, roulette, and everyone’s favourite slots.

Patrons who set foot at the venue will see that the grand entrance hall leads them straight into the heart of the show, with sunset-coloured lanterns lighting up the space. The bar is branded Resorts WorldBET Sports Bar and it will serve as a social hub for locals to meet friends after work or on the weekends. The company promises unmatched luxury for all of its guests.

Currently, the operator of the new gaming property has not set an official opening date, due to supply chain delays. Senator James Skoufis said that when the company approached him a few years ago regarding the project, he demanded three segments – jobs, rejuvenation of the region, and local community benefits. And in his words, the operator did not disappoint.

Bob DeSalvio, President of Genting Americas East, said that the company was ecstatic at the opportunity of revitalizing the Newburgh Mall, while also creating stable union jobs for locals, and contributing revenue to NYS’ public schools. Orange County Executive Steven Neuhaus also supports the project and said it was an investment in jobs and growth for the county.

It is estimated that the Newburgh Mall gaming amenity will provide 200-full time jobs, with a majority of them being unionized. The average annual wage comes to US$72,000, and earlier the company hosted a job fair. Approved candidates will be able to enjoy great benefits, competitive wages, a comprehensive benefits package for dental, health, and vision, and much more perks.

Seeking Further Empire State Expansion

Meanwhile, Genting Malaysia is eyeing one of the three commercial casino licenses, which lawmakers decided to fast-track this year. The company intends to apply for one of the licenses for its Resorts World New York City. If approved the facility will be able to add live gaming tables to its offerings. Its expansion is also backed by legislators, community groups, and unions.
