Playgon and Pariplay Ink Licensing and Distribution Deal

On Wednesday, September 7, 2022, Playgon and its subsidiaries announced that it has signed a multi-market licensing and distribution agreement with the leading iGaming aggregator Pariplay. Through this agreement, the aggregator will add and promote the gaming technology providerā€™s proprietary live dealer and E-table offerings under the VegasLoungeā„¢ brand to its global client network.

Playgon is a British Columbia-based SaaS technology brand that specializes in providing content and technology to the iGaming markets. Currently, its SaaS platform features include Live Dealer Casino, E-Table games and Daily Fantasy Sports, while offering turn-key solutions for online casinos, sportsbook operators, land-based operators, media groups, and big database companies.

Terms of the Arrangement

According to the terms of the latest agreement, Pariplay will adopt and promote Playgonā€™s proprietary mobile-first live dealer and E-table products in its content portfolio for its access and distribution to its global partners. The arrangement is for two years and it includes license fees depending on commercial revenue sharing rates. The integration is almost complete as well.

Pariplay is among the top aggregators and providers of content in the industry as it supplies more than 150 operators with its products and FusionĀ® aggregation platform. The company was established in 2010 and now operates in key regulated markets across Europe and North America. It has partnered up with AGCO in Ontario, ALC in the Atlantic province, and AGLC in Alberta.

Callum Harris, Director of Partnerships at Pariplay, commented that their new partner has successfully created a unique live dealer product with exceptionally well-crafted gameplay features. In his words, they use innovative technology to deliver a one-of-a-kind playing experience for certain demographics. He also welcomed the company to the Fusionā„¢ platform, which will deliver its technology to the world.

Darcy Krogh, President and CEO at Playgon, commented that the Fusionā„¢ platform allows the provider to reach new territories and players from all around the globe. He claimed that the deal will allow the company to partner with numerous big-name operators in the industry. The CEO commented that their games are innovative and created with a mobile mindset to stand out among the rest.

Pursuing Ontario Expansion

Back in May 2022, the Vancouver-headquartered Playgon announced that it is looking to expand its operations as it has eyed a launch in Ontario. The company informed that it has submitted its application to join the provinceā€™s new and regulated market, as a licensed brand to the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario. But it should be noted that the licensing process could take up months.

Ontarioā€™s newly introduced iGaming and mobile sports betting market is the first of its kind in Canada, and it was launched as a way of eliminating grey market operators. Now, licensed private companies by the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario will share a portion of their casino and betting revenue with the province. Consequently, stopping some bettors from pouring millions into offshore websites.
