PointsBet and Front Office Sports Announce Joint Newsletter

On Wednesday, September 7, 2022, a leading sportsbook brand in the U.S. and Canada, PointsBet announced a joint project with Front Office Sports. The sports wagering brand and the leading multiplatform media brand built for the modern sports consumer will now work together to combine their assets and technology to provide a first-of-its-kind collaboration for the industry.

Front Office Sports is a multiplatform media brand built for the modern sports fan, which expands rapidly into the sector with over 20 million people per month across its newsletters, site, podcasts, and social channels. It is supported by SC. Holding, which is a NY-based investment and strategic advisory company, as well as media giants Crain Communications.

’Hustle’ Arrives This Thursday

The partnership between the sportsbook and the media outlet will be the first of its kind and it comes just in time for the new NFL season. Through the agreement, PointsBet is set to utilize FOS’ core tech and content competencies, and offer to its players the latest news, largest bets, and the most appealing boosts to the subscribers’ digital inboxes.

Liam Roecklein, Senior Vice President of Content for PointsBet revealed that the name of the new joint venture will be ‘Hustle’. He also said that the company is proud to be partnering with the media outlet for the innovative newsletter, which will be made for the modern bettor. He elaborated that the newsletter will provide insider news, insights, unique offers, and more to gamblers.

Andrew Budkofsky, Chief Revenue Officer, Front Office Sports, said that the company is also excited to bring this project to life and provide its expertise in the creation of custom newsletters to the leading sportsbook. He predicts that millions of bettors will be able to enjoy what he called a professionally produced newsletter of incredible insight and betting perspective.

The newsletter will be produced by FOS’ in-house content studio, and it will be issued three times a week, Sunday, Monday, and Thursday. Its first issue will start on Thursday, September 8, 2022, and the companies intend to increase its frequency to five times per week later this year. This unique partnership will allow for multiple areas of value creation including growth, monetization, and player engagement.

Now in Ontario

This year the company made some serious expansion moves as the company debuted in Ontario and its private iGaming market for private operators via its division PointsBet Canada. Its CCO Nic Sulsky commented that the sportsbook is ecstatic about its launch in the province and that the early statistics and data are encouraging for its Canadian operations.

However, despite its impressive debut, the company was fined by the regulator – the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario for its advertising and inducement breaches. The firm suffered a CA$30,000 fine for breaching Standard 2.05 of the provincial standards of online gaming. This happened after the sportsbook advertised free play with posters in GO stations and on GO trains.
