Fantasma Games Agrees to Deliver Content to Loto-Québec

Loto-Québec continues to bolster its online gaming offerings, as this week the Crown corporation has agreed to a deal with the Swedish iGaming developer Fantasma Games. The latter will be able to launch its premium portfolio of titles on the Crown’s website with the help of Light & Wonder and its OpenGaming technology. Thus, marking a debut for the European developer in the province.

As already mentioned, Fantasma Games is a Swedish game development studio which is headquartered in Stockholm. The designer boasts a wide portfolio of exceptionally crafted slot games that have been integrated into the OpenGaming system since 2021. Back then the studio and Light & Wonder inked a multi-year global content distribution arrangement.

Securing More Online Titles

The integration with Loto-Québec will be an important milestone for the Stockholm studio, as it would mark its official debut in Quebec’s regulated iGaming space. This latest agreement is also a statement of the importance of the OpenGaming content aggregation platform, as it allows studios to extend their global reach and enter new jurisdictions from all around the globe.

In fact, the Crown corporation has informed its local player base, that the studio’s wide range of riveting titles is now online on its digital casino platform lotoquebec.com. This also includes the developer’s fan-favorite title Bounty Showdown. Soon the studio will be able to expand its footprint across other regulated jurisdictions, as the OpenGaming platform has partnered with other lotteries and operators in the country.

Steve Mayes, Director of Partnerships at Light & Wonder praised the Swedish developer and described it as a highly regarded partner of the company. He said that as a leading aggregation platform his firm is aware that providing corridors to new markets for developers such as the current one is of utmost importance. He is also certain that its portfolio will be warmly welcomed by Quebec bettors.

Fredrik Johansson, the founder of the game developing studio, shared that the company is extremely proud and excited to join Quebec’s iGaming sector through Light & Wonder. He noted that expanding into new jurisdictions is part of the company’s strategy for global reach, and that is one of the reasons the studio has opted to team with the renowned aggregation platform.

More on the Crown

Not long ago, the Crown corporation and Light & Wonder, who have been partners for quite a while, announced that they have been awarded a Gutenberg Award. The two received the honor for their Folie des Plantes or Plant Madness instant game which is produced on 100% recyclable paper. This title was among the first instant games to be printed on recyclable fiber.

Meanwhile, the Quebec lottery is always on the lookout to add more exciting content to its website. At the end of March, the Crown agency did just that after a collaboration with Red Tiger Gaming, which is a subsidiary of Evolution Gaming. Now, players of the platform can enjoy the studio’s thrilling Piggy Riches Megaways™, Gonzo’s Quest Megaways™, Primate King, Cash Volt, and many more.
