Cascades Casino North Bay Launches This March

The wait for the grand opening of Cascades Casino North Bay is almost over, as Gateway Casinos & Entertainment informs it reopens this March. This week, the gaming conglomerate informed that its gaming property located on Pinewood Park Drive, North Bay will start to welcome patrons at its premises from 5 p.m. on Wednesday, March 9, 2022.

The property first broke ground back on May 31, 2019, and it was on schedule to initially open in the summer of 2020. However, there are some obstacles on its path, such as the occurrence of the unprecedented situation in March 2020, which halted construction at the site. Now, almost two years later than its initial opening date, the facility is finally ready.

Save the Date

In a recent interview, Rob Mitchell, Director of Communications for Gateway Casinos & Entertainment commented that things are pretty much back to normal. He also indicated that due to the newest health and safety from the province, patrons of the casino will not be required to present proof of vaccination when attending. But masks will be still a necessity, he says.

Mr. Mitchell stated that despite the unprecedented situation and everything else that followed after that, the company is finally about to cross the finish line and launch the casino property. The facility is located on Pinewood Park Drive and it stretches over 39,000 square foot land, and it comes with over 300 slot machines, six live table games of Roulette, Blackjack, and 10 electronic table games.

The spokesperson has also noted that the gaming leader is quite pleased and excited about the launch of its gaming amenity in North Bay. He added that the casino will also come with the company’s trademark Match Eatery and Public House, which will be the corporation’s fourth restaurant from the brand in the province. There are currently ones in its properties in Hanover, Chatham, and Point Edward.

According to Mr. Mitchell, there will also be plenty of live entertainment at the new property, as it has a large and open patio. In his words, guests will be able to travel freely into the restaurant and even further to the gaming floor. The “Summit Bar” will also run the entire length of the gaming floor. And lastly, he said that the company believes that the property will be warmly received by locals.

December Job Fair

In December last year, Gateway Casinos & Entertainment hosted a two-week-long job fair, in order to bring in more staff members for the grand opening of Cascades Casino North Bay. According to the company it needed 200 more employees in various positions at the newly-constructed property. Thus, bringing the total amount of staff to around 300 individuals.

Casino Rama Update
