Prairies Ticket Holder is the Next Lotto Millionaire

The Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation informs that last Friday’s Lotto Max main prize has been claimed. The jackpot is worth approximately CA$34,000,000 and the identity of the winner is yet unknown, however, the Crown agency claims that the ticket was sold to someone in the Prairies, Ontario. Be sure to check your tickets, if you are from the region.

Lotto Max is a draw-based game that has two draws every week, one on Tuesday and the other on Friday. The game is certainly a fan-favorite among Canadian lotto players due to its major payouts and simple nature. The jackpot can reach the whooping amount of CA$70,000,000 and it can also provide several Maxmillion prizes each worth CA$1 million.

Newest Lottery Millionaire

According to the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation, last week Canada has found its newest lottery multi-millionaire as someone from the province of Ontario has acquired the major prize. The ticket was sold somewhere in the Prairies and its owner may or may not be aware that he or she is in fact the winner of the CA$34,000,000 main prize.

The Crown agency reminds all players to carefully check their tickets for the Lotto Max’s last Friday draw. The winner will have up to 52 weeks from the date of the draw – August 6, 2021, to contact the Crown entity and claim their winnings. The jackpot in Tuesday’s draw will now reset to its initial amount of CA$10 million.

Lotto 6/49 Results

Unfortunately, the Lotto 6/49 draw-based games did not share the luck of the Lotto Max one. The Crown agency reported that the Lotto 6/49 jackpot has remained untouched during the last draw on Saturday. The main prize for the draw amounted to CA$11.8 million, however, not even one ticket from the country was drawn as the winning one.

Despite no winner or winners for the main prize, the Crown corporation announced that the draw’s guaranteed prize was won. The lucky ticket holder is somewhere in Ontario again, and he or she will have the pleasant sum of CA$1 million to their name. Players are already preparing for the next draw as the jackpot will be now worth CA$14 million on Wednesday.

More Recent Lotto Winners

Last week, the OLG revealed the name of one more winner from the Lotto 6/49 game. Marshall Dominey is the lucky one as the winner arrived at the Crown’s office in Toronto to claim his impressive CA$5,000,000 check. His ticket was drawn as the sole winner of the major prize in the June 2 draw of the game.

Margaret and Mark Peters from Simcoe have also seen their luck change, as the couple from Simcoe is the winner of the CA$9,000,000 jackpot from the fan-favorite game Lotto 6/49. The life-changing jackpot was won in the June 12 draw of the game, and the pair has already some plans in store for the winnings. They shared that they intend to help out their children financially and treat themselves with a brand new car.
