Manitoba Lotto Player Is Now CA$27.5-Million Richer

Almost every week a Canadian lotto player is rewarded for their devotion to the draw-based games with a hefty prize. Yesterday the Western Canada Lottery Corporation has revealed that the major Lotto 6/49 has been won by a lucky player from Manitoba. The Crown agency urges everyone to check their tickets as the CA$27.5 million jackpot is awaiting its owner.

To this day lottery games are still quite popular in Canada, but this comes as no surprise, due to the game’s large rewards and guaranteed prizes every week. Lotto 6/49 and Lotto Max, are among the top two favorite draw-based games in the country, and every week there are two draws for both games.

Looking for the Winner

Yesterday on May 13, 2021, the Western Canada Lottery Corporation revealed that the big Lotto 6/49 jackpot has found its winner, however, the identity of the lucky lotto player is still unknown. The only thing we know so far is that the winner resides somewhere in Manitoba outside of Winnipeg and will now have CA$27.5 million to their name. So be sure to carefully check your tickets.

The Crown corporation stated that the winner’s numbers have matched all of Wednesday’s main draw number combination. This has been the fourth major lottery win of at least CA$1 million in the province for the year 2021. This is also the first time that someone from the outside of Winnipeg, that has won a multi-million prize.

Ontario Lottery

Shifting the focus to Ontario, the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation has revealed that George Barber from Tiny Township is the winner of the not-so-tiny Lotto Max jackpot. The married father of one won CA$5 million from April 23, 2021, as his ticket’s numbers matched all seven winning numbers from the draw.

The Crown agency has also revealed that no one has won this Tuesday’s Lotto Max jackpot. The prize was CA$30 million but unfortunately, no ticket has been drawn as the winning one in this week’s Tuesday draw. The next draw is today on May 14, 2021, and the jackpot grows even bigger in numbers as the sum will reach the impressive CA$40 million.

Prior to that, the Ontario-based Crown corporation revealed that a 60-year-old man from Kirkland Lake is the winner of the grand Lotto Max jackpot. Thanks to the cool CA$15 million prize from the April 20 draw, Grover Adams will now have the opportunity to consider earlier retirement and he is already looking forward to the many fishing trips.

Even More Prizes Claimed

Another significant lottery win that is worth mentioning from this week is of Patrick OLeary from Sooke, British Columbia. The excavator operator was pleasantly surprised by the Lotto 6/49 game as his ticket was drawn as the winner of the guaranteed prize back in March. The man will have the task of finding a suitable application for his CA$1 million prize.
