Gaming Corps Approved for Alberta iGaming Market

Gaming-Corps-Secures-Alberta-iGaming-Licence-Ahead-of-Market-LaunchGaming Corps has obtained a conditional iGaming supplier licence from the Alberta Gaming, Liquor & Cannabis (AGLC) ahead of the province’s regulated online gaming market launch scheduled for July 13, 2026.

The approval was granted through Gaming Corps Malta Ltd and allows the company to manufacture and distribute gaming software within Alberta once the new framework officially opens.

The licence positions Gaming Corps among the suppliers preparing to enter Canada’s newest regulated iGaming jurisdiction from the first day of operations. Alberta is preparing to become the country’s second open regulated online gaming market after Ontario introduced its commercial model in 2022.

Alberta Prepares for Open Market Launch

The Alberta government has been moving forward with plans to establish a competitive regulated iGaming framework under AGLC oversight, allowing licensed operators and suppliers to enter the market through a provincially supervised system.

The province is expected to introduce a wider range of regulated online casino and betting options for local players while expanding consumer protection measures, compliance monitoring, and responsible gambling requirements.

Industry observers have closely followed Alberta’s rollout due to the potential size of the market and its importance within Canada’s gaming sector. Several operators and suppliers have already begun securing approvals ahead of the planned July launch date.

Gaming Corps said the new licence strengthens the company’s presence in regulated markets while supporting its wider North American growth plans.

The approval also gives Alberta operators future access to Gaming Corps’ portfolio of casino products and proprietary game mechanics as the province prepares to transition into a regulated commercial framework.

Gaming Corps Expands North American Presence

Gaming Corps has continued expanding across regulated jurisdictions as part of its international growth strategy, with Canada representing one of the company’s target regions.

Alex Lorimer, COO at Gaming Corps, commented on the approval following confirmation of the licence.

“Securing our Alberta licence marks another important step in Gaming Corps’ regulated market expansion strategy. Canada continues to represent a key growth region for us, and we’re excited to bring our expanding portfolio of games and unique mechanics to operators and players in Alberta.”

The Alberta market launch is expected to increase competition among operators and suppliers seeking entry into Canada’s regulated online gaming industry.

Once the framework becomes active in July, licensed companies approved by AGLC will be able to provide online casino and betting products to players within the province under the new regulatory structure.
