Cascades Casino Delta Gives Update on Hotel Launch

British Columbia’s newest gaming amenity Cascades Casino Delta is now up and running and soon the property will offer a hotel to its guests. Most recently, the casino’s management informed that its Delta Hotels by Marriott – Vancouver Delta is slated to open either at the end of November 2022 or early in December. Currently, there is no exact date for the launch.

Delta Hotels by Marriott – Vancouver Delta attached to the newly opened Cascades Casino Delta, is owned and operated by South Fraser Hotel LP. The new hospitality establishment is set to come with over 124 premium guest rooms, an outdoor pool, hot tub, state-of-the-art fitness centre, meeting space, a sundry shop and much more services for its guests.

Applying Final Touches

According to South Fraser Hotel LP president Jeff Krivoshen, the new Delta Hotels by Marriott – Vancouver Delta should be able to commence operations either at the end of November or early in December. Currently, there is no concrete date for the hotel on 6005 Highway 17A on the site of the former Delta Town & Country Inn, but work is in the final stages, assured Mr. Krivoshen.

Also, Mr. Krivoshen explained that workers have been actively loading furniture, fixates, and equipment into the site during the last few weeks. The representative also shared that the management team is in place and is starting to interview candidates for all other supervisory and line-level jobs. The hotel is expected to employ between 50 to 60 individuals.

The casino resort cost close to CA$99 million and it is operated by Gateway Casinos & Entertainment, which held its grand opening ceremony for its launch on September 29, 2022. The property impresses with over 160,000 square feet of entertainment space, as it features a 40,000-square foot gaming floor, boasting over 500 slots, stadium-like gaming and 18 live table games.

In addition to exceptional gambling amenities, the resort also offers some fine dining establishments, such as the operator’s trademark The Buffet, Summit Bar and Match Eatery & Public House. With the latter also offers a multi-season patio and live music. The eatery also touts the Bud Room, a Budweiser-branded party space for up to 30 people to book and enjoy.

Celebrating the Opening

On the day of the casino’s official launch, the COO of the company, Rob Ward, shared that it was a tremendous day for both Delta and the casino operator. He stated that the new property is a testament to the resiliency and determination of a great many people who kept their focus and put tons of effort into making this state-of-the-art amenity a reality for the City of Delta.

The British Columbia Lottery Corporation is also pleased to see the new property open to the public. Board Chair of BCLC, Greg Moor, said that the Crown corporation is excited to launch the facility with the help of the gaming conglomerate. He expects that the casino will provide an innovative gaming experience and access to industry-leading player health resources for patrons.
