Gateway Casinos Rejoices Over Launch of Delta Casino

It is a special week for Gateway Casinos & Entertainment and British Columbian gamblers, as this week Cascades Casino Delta officially commenced operations. The new gaming amenity is located on 6005, BC-17A. Its patrons will be able to enjoy a premium gaming floor of 500 slots, 18 table games and stadium-like gaming. All of which are complemented by the company’s trademark diners.

As with any other Gateway Casinos & Entertainment, the new Delta casino will come with the company’s signature MATCH Eatery & Public House and the Buffet dining amenities. The property is part of the gaming conglomerate’s investment plan for Delta and it cost approximately CA$99.3 million while also creating hundreds of stable jobs for locals.

Now Open

On the day of the official launch, the COO of the company, Rob Ward, commented that it was a tremendous day for both Delta and the corporation. He believes that the new property is a testament to the resiliency and determination of a great many people who kept their focus and put tons of effort into making this state-of-the-art amenity a reality for the City of Delta.

The British Columbia Lottery Corporation is also pleased to see the property up and running. Board Chair Greg Moore of the Crown agency, said that the corporation is excited to launch the facility with the help of the gaming conglomerate. He expects that the casino will provide an innovative gaming experience and access to industry-leading player health resources for patrons.

Mayor of Delta, George V. Harvie congratulated the gaming leader on the grand opening of Cascades Casino Delta. He indicated that the company’s investment in the entertainment location has provided hundreds of new jobs that will support the local economy and tourism. He is now looking forward to working with the corporation in their new role in the local business community.

Delta Community Foundation was part of the opening ceremonies as the official beneficiary of the GatewayGives charitable donations program. The latter’s charities are chosen by employees of the gaming conglomerate in the communities they operate. And from the opening through October 31, 2022, a percentage of the casino’s food and drinks sales in MATCH Eatery will be donated to the foundation.

Hiring Hundreds of People

As already mentioned, the new Delta amenity will provide hundreds of new and well-paid jobs to locals. In August, the casino operator hosted five in-person career fairs will be hosted on August 16, 18, 23, 24, and 25, 2022. The first and the second events concentrated on recruiting dealers, security positions, and food and beverage departments.

The third fair also focused on hiring personnel for its premium was focused on food and beverage amenities. Then the last two events focused on recruiting dealer, security, and casino operation vacancies, and they were at the Ladner WorkBC office. But now the casino property is fully functional and it is welcoming its first patrons.
