Gateway Casinos Hosts Five Job Fairs in B.C. This August

The construction of Gateway Casinos & Entertainment’s brand-new gaming property in British Columbia is going well according to plan. Last week, the gaming leader informed that it will be hosting a total of five in-person job fairs to recruit staff for its new project branded Cascades Casino Delta. Now, the company is looking to add 500 more individuals to its Delta team.

Cascades Casino Delta will be Gateway Casinos & Entertainment’s latest premium gaming property in B.C. The new gambling amenity will be a 160,00 square foot facility, with an impressive 40,000-square-foot gaming floor where patrons will be able to tap into world-class gambling on approximately 500 slot machines, 18 live table games, and six electronic table games.

Providing Career Opportunities

As already mentioned, the gaming leader will be looking to add 500 personnel before its gaming property is ready to launch in the fall of 2022. The five in-person career fairs will be hosted on August 16, 18, 23, 24, and 25, at the Delta Chamber of Commerce, located at 6201 60th Ave. Candidates are urged to bring with them the required documentation.

Rowland England, vice-president of operations, BC West, commented that the company’s objective is to create unforgettable experiences for its guests and in order to do so it must expand its team. The official said that the casino is looking for people who share its passion for people and commitment to exceptional customer service and he is quite optimistic about the upcoming fairs.

The first job fair scheduled for August 16, 2022, will focus on recruiting for dealer and security positions. The second one on August 18, 2022, will concentrate on the food and beverage departments. Both of the events will be hosted from noon to 4 p.m. The third fair will also be focused on food and beverage and it will be hosted at the chamber office on August 24, 2022, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The last two events will focus on the dealer, security, and casino operation vacancies, and the events will take at the Ladner WorkBC office, located at 4899 Delta St. These two career fairs will be taking place on Tuesday, August 23, 2022, from 12 to 4 p.m. and on Thursday, August 25, 2022, from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. respectively.

Cascades Casino Delta will also offer a Delta by Marriott hotel, which will have up to 124 rooms and provide a luxurious day spa, resort-style outdoor pool and hot but, a fitness centre and more. The operator for the hotel was announced last September, however, the company informed that the hiring for the hotel will be conducted separately by PR Hotels Ltd.

End of 2022 Launch

The construction of the CA$87-million project gaming amenity has been in the works since 2018, however, its completion was delayed. Initially, the venue was on schedule to launch in 2021, however, due to the emergence of the unprecedented situation in March 2020, its development was obstructed. Provided that there are no more delays, the new casino should launch in the fall of this year, says the gaming conglomerate.
