SBC Provides Dates for Next Canadian Gaming Summit

This week, the leading international events and media business for online gaming and sports betting industries, SBC, has given an update on Canadian Gaming Summit 2023. The company informed that next year’s edition of the annual conference will be held between June 13 and June 15, 2023. It will be once again hosted at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre.

The Canadian Gaming Summit or CGS is one of the countryā€™s most prestigious gambling conventions. Every year at the expo and conference, representatives of the global industry come together to discuss ideas, spark new partnerships, and showcase their cutting-edge technology and products. Next yearā€™s running of the summit is set to the be 26th one.

A Start of a New Chapter for the Summit

A while back, SBC informed that it has an agreement in place to buy the rights for the Canadian Gaming Summit. Thus, making the next edition of the conference one for the history books, as it will be the first time under the new ownership. SBC purchased the summit from the joint owners, the Canadian Gaming Association, and MediaEdge Communications.

The finalization of the acquisition is expected to be completed after the conclusion of this yearā€™s edition of the Summit. Which takes place this week from June 7, 2022, through June 9, 2022. The conference offers a program that covers key topics from significant regulatory changes in the country, as well as subjects such as taxation, advertising rules, the integrity of sports, responsible gaming, and much more.

Even after the completion of the deal, the Canadian Gaming Association will still be involved in CGS as an official and strategic partner from 2023 and forward. The trade association will also cooperate with SBC to ensure the annual event support the continued development and welfare of the gambling industry in the country.

Rasmus Sojmark, Founder & CEO of SBC said that the company is excited to add the Summit to its portfolio of events in 2023. He also shared that the media partner is already in discussions with the CGA to build on what is already a renowned conference. He believes that the opportunities for exponential growth are enormous as the Canadian gaming market continues to expand in Canada.

Paul Burns, President and CEO of CGA, also commented that the association is quite thrilled about this yearā€™s edition of the event and that they are looking forward to seeing what SBC will add to enhance it in the future. In his words, SBCā€™s global footprint will allow further opportunities to showcase Canadaā€™s gaming industry potential and highlight its membersā€™ success.

A New Sponsor

This yearā€™s edition of the CGS is also taking place at Metro Toronto Convention Centre in Toronto, Ontario. And previously, leading geolocation technology company Xpoint announced that it will join the event as an official sponsor. The news about the company joining the event comes right after the geolocation corporation informed that it will be going live in the Great White North.
