Pickering Casino Resort Greenlights First Phase

Great Canadian Gaming Corporation is ready to hit the restart button on in-person gambling in yet another Ontario region influenced by its operation. Pickering Casino Resort is set to launch operation this Monday, July 26, following years of anticipation of its launch. Individuals interested in its products and entertainment potential are more than welcome to explore it all this week.

The unprecedented situation has made mandatory the closing and reopening of casino properties, in order to promote physical distance and protect both patrons and casino workers depending on those jobs. The casino operator continues its work with the provincial government, making sure it follows strictly its health recommendations and acts accordingly. Now it is time for the reopening of the casino hotspot.

Casino Launch

Pickering Casino Resort is now ready to welcome individuals and treat them to its many riveting products. There are about 2,400 slot machines sprinkled across the gaming floor and attracting players with their premium games and features. The cutting-edge technology implemented in them makes it possible for them to experience futuristic gambling, as well as beloved classic titles.

In addition to those, there are as many as 100 live table games enhancing the gambling potential and adding more features to the classic casino games. Some of the leading software providers on a global scale power them. When it comes to live dealer stadium gaming terminals, Pickering Casino Resort boasts as many as 140 of those and they are now fully functional for the patrons to enjoy. If you are looking for various dining options, this is also the place to be.

Pickering Casino Resort comes with a total of ten dining areas one could enjoy. This first phase of the reopening plan of the complex will introduce gaming products, along with food and beverage amenities. It is all with reduced capacity levels, making it possible for patrons to be physically distant and practice safe in-person gambling. The rest of the resort premises will be greenlighted later in 2022.

What to Expect?

Terrance Doyle, the Company’s Interim Chief Executive Officer, pointed out that this reopening will mean launch of work for 600 individuals working on the premises. The casino resort is the first opened in Ontario in as many as 16 years, marking a great step forward. It could be recalled that the hotspot was supposed to launch operation in April 2020, but the unprecedented situation mandated the postponing of such a launch.

In the past, Casino Rama Resort management has expressed concerns regarding the new project, which would inevitably draw a slice of its existing patrons. Casino Rama is able to attract individuals hailing from Ajax, Pickering, and Markham. The rival casino would be the first competitor to come so deep into the catchment area of the Gateway Casinos’ casino resort. The true impact of such a launch is expected to be witnessed in the upcoming years.

Mid-July this year, Great Canadian Gaming Corporation revealed more about its casinos in Ontario and their eventual reopening. The company launched 11 of its properties: Casino Woodbine, Great Blue Heron Casino, Casino Ajax, Elements Casino Mohawk, Elements Casino Flamboro, Elements Casino Brantford, Elements Casino Grand River, Shorelines Casino Belleville, Shorelines Casino Peterborough, Shorelines Casino Thousand Islands, and Shorelines Slots at Kawartha Downs.
