Yggdrasil Showcases 2025 Standouts With 2026 Sequel Tease

Top-Yggdrasil-Games-of-2025Yggdrasil used the close of 2025 to reflect on a year of releases, identifying five titles that defined the studio’s performance across different categories. The list covers new instalments in existing franchises as well as original concepts and includes titles labelled as the Star, the Magnet, the Comeback, the Powerhouse and the Dark Horse. The studio also previewed the return of the Raptor franchise for early 2026, positioning the sequel as next year’s major release.

Five Titles Shape Yggdrasil’s 2025 Rewind

The studio named Vikings Go To Olympus as its Star for 2025. The slot mixes Viking characters with an Olympus setting and features Wild Fight Respins and a Free Spins mode in which Zeus alters the outcome on each spin. The title also introduces the RushingWilds GEM mechanic, which boosts multipliers on previous Wilds. Vikings Go To Olympus has a maximum multiplier of x6,000, a maximum win of €600,000, medium-high volatility and an RTP configuration of 96.0%. The slot runs on a 5-reel, 4-row layout and launched on 24 April 2025.

4 Foxx Crew earned the Magnet designation. The title centers on a bank heist theme with four fox characters attempting to escape the police. The MultiMax mechanic powers progressive multipliers, and Free Spins persist when golden eggs appear. Additional elements such as bombs, geese and police symbols may convert non-winning symbols. WildEnergy eggs add further triggers, while Foxx Bounties represent the highest potential prize. 4 Foxx Crew offers a maximum multiplier of x10,000, a maximum win of €500,000, high volatility and an RTP up to 94.0%. It uses a 6-reel, 6-row structure and launched on 26 June 2025.

MexoMax 2 followed as the Comeback entry. Set in a jungle environment with temples and relics, the slot employs the MultiMax mechanic and a Free Spins mode fed by golden hearts. The game can transform non-winning symbols through spirits and artifacts. MexoMax 2 delivers a maximum multiplier of x10,000, a maximum win of €500,000, high volatility and an RTP configuration up to 96.0%. It uses a 6-reel, 6-row layout and launched on 25 September 2025.

The Powerhouse slot, Bob Marlin Goes Deep, adopts a fishing theme in which the reels expand as the player progresses. Five matching fish trigger Free Spins. The title has a maximum multiplier of x3,905, a maximum win of €488,125, low volatility and an RTP configuration up to 96.8%. The slot uses a 5-reel, 4-row setup and was launched on 24 July 2025.

Trickstar Spins completed the list as the Dark Horse. The title features a Jack-in-the-Box character in a graveyard setting and offers a 3-reel, 3-row format. Matching symbols across all three reels may award up to a x10 multiplier. A respin feature can occur when a spin misses, and a Jackpot Symbol can grant entry to a bonus feature with a maximum prize of x500 the bet. Trickstar Spins has a maximum multiplier of x800, a maximum win of €80,000, medium volatility and an RTP configuration up to 94.0%. The slot launched on 23 January 2025.

Sequel Announcement Extends Franchise Activity Into 2026
