Great Canadian Casino Resort Toronto may has started work in June 2023 but the country’s largest casino resort will celebrate its grand opening in May 2024. For the special occasion, Great Canadian Entertainment has invited three-time GRAMMY® Award winner Gwen Stefani and five-time CMA Male Vocalist of the Year and ACM Award winner Blake Shelton.
The company’s Great Canadian Casino Resort Toronto is the newest and largest casino resort in the country. It costs CA$1 billion and touts 328,000 sq. ft. of gaming space, a 400-room hotel, an indoor pool, wellness and fitness area, several dining amenities, private event and flexible meeting space, as well as a 5,000-seat live entertainment venue in partnership with Live Nation.
Celebrating the Grand Opening
For the grand opening celebration, the operator has selected two renowned artists to match the grandeur of the country’s newest and largest casino resort. Gwen Stefani is set to take over the stage of the brand-new and 5,000-person The Theatre on Friday, May 3, 2024, while on the next day, the torch will be passed on to Blake Shelton.
Members of Great Canadian Rewards will be able to get an early sample of the ground-breaking event by signing up for a complimentary membership that will award them exclusive benefits. As a special perk, members of the program will be able to enjoy exclusive early access to tickets for both concerts from Tuesday, December 12, 2023, at 10 a.m. ET.
Meanwhile, Live Nation and Ticketmaster users will be able to buy tickets for the events on a presale that starts on Thursday, December 14, 2023, at 10 a.m. ET. All presale will conclude on Thursday, December 14, 2023, at 10 p.m. ET or once all tickets are sold. After that tickets go on sale to the general public starting from Friday, December 15, 2023, at noon ET.

He added the opening is a new chapter in live entertainment in Toronto as the company braces for a selection of world-class performances for its guests.
Up and Running Since June
As mentioned, Canada’s largest gambling resort Great Canadian Casino Resort Toronto has been operational since June 2023 when it launched services. Its gaming floor is equipped with 4,800 slot machines, 145 live table games, VIP rooms and sports betting terminals are available to patrons. This was just the first part of the opening of the CA$1-billion property.
Only recently, Great Canadian Entertainment reported that it is now commencing operations at its brand-new and state-of-the-art poker room. The new amenity is open to patrons seven days a week and offers 30 tables while being located on a private floor and catering to poker fans’ desires. The casino also announced the debut of its ‘Bad Beat’ Jackpot.
