Calgary’s ACE Casino Airport Prepares for Friday’s Opening

This week Calgary’s gambling enthusiasts are in for a treat, as the city’s new premium casino ACE Casino Airport is opening its doors to the public. The grand opening ceremony for the 70,000-square-foot casino will be held on Friday, November 25, 2022, at 40 Aero Crescent NE. Besides exceptional gambling options, there will be two dining opportunities on-site.

The Alberta-based casino operator revealed the location of the casino back in June of 2021 and now it will finally welcome its first patrons. The gaming facility boasts 638 slots, 26 table games, 12 VLT machines, 2 private VIP salons, 12 table poker tables and arena-style gaming. There are also some fine dining amenities, an ACE Sports Bar, and a 40-foot TV wall.

Grand Opening on Friday

Once open to the public, patrons will be able to enjoy the casino’s exceptional amenities, whether it is the casino tables or just watching sporting events on the enormous 40-foot TV wall. During the opening weekend, the TV will display popular sports events and some special Pay-per-views. The bar offers eight beers on tap, cocktails, bar food specials, and more.

The casino informs that the opening weekend will also feature live entertainment and performances, food and beverage specials, with more than CA$10,000 in cash prizes. The brand-new facility is located near the YYC Calgary International Airport, in close proximity to the Deerfoot Trail, the airport terminal, hotels, golfing, and many of the city’s excellent amenities.

General Manager of the Calgary-based gaming property, Joe Chapple, commented that the operator is pleased to launch the city’s most dynamic entertainment destination to YYC. As the new gaming establishment provides a premium, electric atmosphere focused on immersive gambling, entertainment, and dining experience for both locals and travellers.

In addition to that, ACE Casino Calgary Airport will also offer patrons the chance to play its electronic table games, 12 video lottery terminals, a poker room equipped with 12 tables, as well as two private VIP high-limit gaming rooms. The casino invites everyone who likes to place bets to participate in the grand opening on Friday and enjoy some of its many amenities.

Update on Alberta’s Casinos Sector

More news from the province’s land-based casino industry includes the official ground breaking ceremony of Bear Hills Casino and Travel Resort in October. The new gaming establishment will be located on Queen Elizabeth II Highway, between Highways 611 and 613, and it is slated to launch in late 2023 it will offer amenities, such as a fancy restaurant, a gas station, and an open-air amphitheatre-type area.

In a recent press release, the Alberta Gaming, Liquor & Cannabis Commission has also announced that it has denied the request from Capital City Casinos Ltd. for the relocation of Camrose Casino Resort to South Edmonton. The Crown received major community opposition to the plan and has opted to pull the plug on the requested relocation to 420 Parsons Road SW in Edmonton
