Lotto Max Jackpot Reaches the CA$50 Million Mark

Some great and bad news for Canadian lottery players is on the horizon, as the Tuesday, November 9 draw for Lotto Max did not determine a winner of the hefty prize. During the draw, the main prize stood at CA$41 million but no ticket from the country matched all seven winning numbers. The good news is the jackpot will now grow even bigger for the next draw.

Lotto Max is a nationwide lottery game with two draws every week, one on Tuesday, and the other on Friday. The game is responsible for the making of many players into lottery millionaires, as every year its participants win hundreds of millions of Canadian dollars. Tickets for the game are available for purchase at retail locations and online portals.

No Winner Determined

Unfortunately, for all Lotto Max ticket holders, the jackpot of the game has eluded them once again. On Tuesday, the main prize worth CA$41 million did not find a winner, however, Loto-Québec informed that a ticket from Quebec has won the hefty amount of CA$196,118. The winner will have up to 52 weeks to claim their prize.

With no winner determined on Tuesday night, now the jackpot for the next draw on Friday, November 12, 2021, will grow to the staggering CA$50,000,000. Tickets for the game must be purchased at retail locations and online before 10:30 p.m. on Friday. Additionally, with the jackpot reaching CA$50 million, the draw will also offer two Maxmillion prizes each worth CA$1,000,000.

Kanata Local Wins Big

And speaking of hefty lottery winnings, a retired nurse from Kanata, Ontario is now CA$1 million richer thanks to the Lotto 6/49 ticket. The Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation has recently awarded Sandra Pilgrim-Stark her prize, as she teared up after discovering the amount that she had won after checking her ticket at a retail site.

Ms. Pilgrim-Stark purchased her ticket at the Real Canadian Superstore on Eagleson Road in Kanata, which was just in time for the fateful October 20 draw of Lotto 6/49. Now, with the money, she plans to pay her mortgage, share the prize with her children, and invest a portion of them. The winner also shared that she already has some traveling plans in mind.

CA$21 Million Won

In September, the OLG reported that an Ontario ticket holder has won the amazing CA$21 million from Lotto 6/49. However, the name of the lucky winner is not yet known, as they have not yet contacted the agency about claiming their winnings. The jackpot’s exact amount is CA$$21,185,218.10 and the Crown advises everyone from the province to check their tickets.

Another Major Lotto 6/49 Win

Recently, in Western Canada, the British Columbia Lottery Corporation revealed that Gary Muchula from Vancouver is the winner of the CA$10.2 million jackpot. Mr. Muchula’s ticket was drawn as the winning one in the October 20 draw of Lotto 6/49, and it was purchased at London Drugs at Park Royal. With the reward, the winner who is a major football fan plans on realizing his dream of watching the Super Bowl live.
