On Monday, May 30, 2023, International Game Technology PLC reported that it will be expanding its operations in Western Canada via a Western Canada Lottery Corporation deal. Via this latest agreement, the leading gaming provider will deliver 720 CrystalDual® 27 video lottery terminals to WCLC. This will be the fourth launch in seven years for IGT in the region.

Expanding Presence in Western Canada
After the announcement, IGT is now preparing to deliver even more of its premium cabinets to the Crown agency. As per the deal, the supplier will launch its widely-popular CX game set of VLT content in Saskatchewan. This will include titles such as 7’s Wild Gold, Big City 5’s™, The Wild Life™, and Thunder Stampede™ and the two recent Cash Eruption™ Temple of Fire™ and Greenback Attack™.

CrystalDual 27 VLT boasts two displays which provide state-of-the-art graphics accompanied by an industry-leading audio package. The product also impresses with its ergonomic design, improved player interface and charging port for mobile devices. Also, these new VLTs will be connected by IGT’s INTELLIGEN™ central system, operated by WCLC for machine accounting, event tracking, and system security.
Partnering with Other Provincial Lotteries
In addition to Saskatchewan, IGT is also present in several other jurisdictions across Canada. This includes Quebec, and in November 2022, the supplier’s subsidiary IGT Canada Solutions ULC struck a five-year contract extension with Loto-Québec. Via this deal, it delivered an enhanced version of its INTELLIGEN™ video lottery central system software to the Crown.
Furthermore, the prominent gaming distributor is also operating in Manitoba via the Manitoba Liquor and Lotteries Corporation. In June 2022, the two announced a new collaboration for the supplier to debut over 960 Cobalt™ 27 VLTs to the province. Some of the new titles were Temple of Fire™ Cash Eruption®, Big City 5’s™, Five Times Pay™, Power Keno™, and Double Double Bonus Poker™.
