Gateway Casinos Swells Staff to 8,648 Employees with Latest Expansion Move

Gateway Casinos and Entertainment continues its expansion across Canada with its latest acquisition in British Columbia. The casino operator recently announced it has purchased Chances Signal Point located in Williams Lake, a move that would expand its footprint across the province. It joins the currently overseen Chances gaming locations in Abbotsford, Campbell River, Courtenay, Squamish, and Mission.

It is a well-known fact that the casino operator is among the leaders in the Canadian gaming field, further proven by the forward-thinking approach it demonstrates across provinces to the likes of Alberta, British Columbia, and Ontario. The latest acquisition makes Chances Signal Point one of the facilities managed by Gateway Casinos and the transition of management is already finished. Workers currently employed at the casino venue are not going to witness any negative impact on their day-to-day operation, as the casino operator has not planned any layoffs.

Casino Operator Adds 13th B.C. Casino

Gateway Casinos wants to explore new markets and regions, which have the potential to introduce excited gaming enthusiasts to the casino offerings available on site of every gaming venue overseen by the operator. Along with the extensive expansion and acquisition of new locations across Ontario, Gateway Casinos explores what other provinces have on offer as well.

At the moment British Columbia enjoys some 12 casino locations managed by the leading casino operator. The latest acquisition swells this figure to 13, while Ontario features as many as 12 locations overseen by the casino developer. The expansion across Ontario was made possible via the three gaming bundles Ontario Gaming and Lottery Corporation offered in an attempt to bring a breath of fresh air to the field.

The key to success, however, is to never stop evolving and seeking the best customer service, in addition to always surprising casino patrons. With this latest addition, the overall number of casino venues overseen by the casino operator reached 27 across the three provinces.

The overall tally when it comes to employees swelled to 8,648 individuals with permanent employment guaranteed by Gateway Casinos. Tony Santo, Chief Executive Officer of the casino operator stated that this expansion is going to bring many new offerings and gaming potential to the location in the upcoming weeks.

Money-Laundering Fears Grip the Province

Every acquisition comes with extensive rebranding and renovation of the British Columbia casino venues located in Kamloops, Penticton, Kelowna. The latest announcement in relation to the gaming field of Kamloops came mid-January when Gateway Casinos stated that it is now the sole gaming operator in the area following the acquisition of Chances Casino Kamloops.

The staff in its entirety saw a seamless management transition and are already expecting upgrades to the casino venue. The province had been under fire for its money-laundering policy and the casino venues that have allegedly enabled billions of Canadian dollars to be laundered over the span of several years.

Keeping this in mind, only recently Delta citizens made it clear that the future Cascades Casino Delta overseen by Gateway Casinos should see a delay at least for the time being. The local community cited concerns about attracting dirty money to the venue. In response, Councilor Lois Jackson stated that two local reports would be issued soon.
