PointsBet Bolsters Ontario Business Via Strive Gaming Deal

PointsBet Canada is on track to enhance its Ontario operations with another key partnership. This time the live sports betting operator has joined forces with Strive Gaming, which will help the platform to strengthen its internal offerings, complementing its existing technology stack, and as a result provide an even better online casino experience for its users.

Strive Gaming is a company that offers everything that gaming and sports betting operators would require for their iGaming strategies and needs, allowing them to own every customer moment. The firm boasts a team of specialists with a combined 25 years of expertise in the North American gaming markets, making it a great fit for PointsBet in Canada.

On Track to Deliver World-Class Experience

This strategic collaboration would allow PointsBet Canada to revolutionize its Ontario gaming experience starting in early 2024. Via the deal, the operator will be able to utilize Strive’s tech platform seamlessly integrate diverse content suppliers and up its offering. Players can expect a diverse iGaming library including North American retail products and European content.

Chief Executive Officer of the sports betting brand, Scott Vanderwel commented that the firm’s proprietary tool, Infinity Engine, adds sophistication by tailoring offers to thousands of games titles in real-time. He is now optimistic about the lucrative collaboration and how it will enhance the experience for online casino players in Ontario and Canada.

Max Meltzer, CEO of Strive Gaming said that as the online gambling sector expands, the company is delighted to build on its expansion in North America and a leading operator like PointsBet. He added the partnership is a testament to the provider’s platform and its quality. They are now looking forward to collaborating with the operator to enhance player offerings.

Just recently, PointsBet announced that it has recruited Brooke Hilton as Head of Casino in Ontario, which should help it advance business in the province. The appointment comes after the company recently posted its quarterly proceeds and reaping success in the country. Its net win rose from CA$1.5 million to CA$4.7 million in Q1, reporting a 212% increase.

Suffering a Hefty Fine

However, just recently, PointsBet Canada suffered a setback in Ontario’s iGaming sector for private operators as it was imposed a hefty fine by the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario. The gaming watchdog penalized the operator for allegedly failing to comply with the responsible gambling provisions of the Registrar’s Standards for Internet Gaming.

According to AGCO, the sportsbook failed to appropriately intervene and provide help to one of its players in the province who experienced gambling issues and had lost over CA$500,0000 in lees than three months. The user was marked as potentially high-risk by the operator on several occasions, due to recording substantial losses and making repeated withdrawal cancellations.
