Lotto Max Prize Reaches CA$28 Million

According to the latest reports from Canada’s lottery industry, last Friday’s Lotto Max jackpot has remained intact. Meaning, that no ticket holder from the whole country managed to get its hands on the prize worth just over CA$23 million, as a Christmas present. Now, the next draw is set to offer an even bigger prize pool.

Lotto Max is one of the most popular and most generous lottery games in Canada, as its rounds can offer a jackpot in the size of the staggering CA$70,000,000. In order to do so, players need to correctly guess the seven-number winning combination, which is drawn twice every week, once on Tuesday, and once on Friday.

Jackpot Accumulating

Last Friday’s draw on December 24, 2021, was the last one before Christmas, therefore players had one last opportunity to obtain the mega jackpot as a nice surprise for the holiday. However, no sold ticket from the entire country managed to correctly match the seven-winning number combination for the CA$23 million top prize of the draw.

Despite, no winners recorded for the main prize, the Friday round still awarded some hefty awards of CA$250,000 as a runner-up prize. According to the reports, the winner of the prize, has purchased their tickets somewhere in Quebec and the winner will be revealed once they claim it. The draw on December 28, 2021, will now offer a bigger jackpot prize worth over CA$28 million.

Previously, the Lotto Max game reached its final form as for the December 17 draw, the main prize amounted to its maximum of CA$70,000,000. After the round, the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation announced that the prize has been won by a ticket holder from Brampton, Ontario. The lucky player will have up to 52 weeks to claim their life-changing prize.

Earlier this year, Saskatchewan has also found its latest lottery multi-millionaire, as Matthew Poppels won CA$55,000,000 from the popular draw-based game. His ticket was randomly selected as the winning one for the October 19 draw. Lottery winners usually take their time to claim their winning, however, it took Mr. Poppels only eight days to get his hands on the cheque.

Scratch Ticket Worth CA$3 Million

Additionally, last week, the Atlantic Lottery Corporation informed of one more significant lotto win and this time located in Charlottetown. The lucky winner is Nancy Adams and now she had to her name the impressive CA$3 million, after obtaining a top prize from a Scratch’N Win ticket. Now, she has claimed her enormous prize at an ALC office.

After obtaining her cheque, she explained that she almost fainted upon discovering her winning after a cashier helped her out with the scanning of the fateful ticket. With the mega prize, Ms. Adams plans on helping her family financially, buying herself a brand-new car, and acquiring her first home. She is the second Islander to win a CA$3 million prize this month.
