Gateway’s Casino in Kelowna Nears Completion of Renovation Works

The Playtime Gaming bingo hall is currently undergoing a major transformation process to polish its image and become the preferred place for entertainment in Kelowna, British Columbia. Work on the planned transformation and re-branding is progressing smoothly. On Monday this week, workers were seen to be dismantling the property’s emblematic front sign and replacing it with the sign of its new name – Playtime Casino.

Last September, one of the largest casino and entertainment company in Canada, Gateway Casinos & Entertainment (Gateway) unveiled its spectacular C$3.6 million plan for the complete renovation of its iconic Lake City Casino. Gateway decided to move on from the old days and establish a brand new image for its former Lake City Casino and mark the beginning of a new era for its casino operations in the city located in the southern interior of British Columbia.

What Does the Renovation Includes?

According to the latest updates on the project, renovation work is progressing on schedule. The upgraded gambling venue is to feature a new gaming floor with a bountiful selection of gambling options. Enthusiasts looking for an adrenaline rush can enjoy a number of the latest slots and table games. Sports fans will be also happy to hear that the new gambling facility is to offer sports promotions.

In addition to that, Gateway is to include its own dining facilities, and more precisely MATCH Eatery & Public House and The Buffet. The two restaurants are to bring the company’s unique signature and feature classy atmosphere and special offerings. In a press release, Gateway highlighted that MATCH Eatery & Public House is to feature elements of a neighborhood pub. The Buffet is to offer casual dining and a changing menu that features traditional dishes from every corner of the world.

In that way, the gambling operator will capitalize on the opportunity to attract people from all walks of life, but not only casino patrons. On Wednesday this week, Tony Santo, CEO of Gateway Casinos commented that Playtime Casino is to decrease the unemployment rate and stir economic activity in the area. General manager Clarissa Pruden announced that the renovation project nears completion. Reporters from the local media agency Castanet News Brief were allowed to have a look inside the gambling facility.

In December 2015, Gateway officially announced that it has acquired Playtime Gaming Inc., a private company that opened the first bingo facilities in British Columbia. Playtime Gaming has been touted as the longest-running operator of gaming facilities of this type in the province. Following Playtime Gaming’s acquisition, Gateway was recognized to be Canada’s largest and most diversified gaming company.
