Caesars Windsor Fortifies Eco-Friendly Agenda Powered By Renewable Sources

Caesars Windsor is about to revolutionize its operation and make it better for the environment with the introduction of pollution-free electricity. The casino operator teamed up with Bullfrog Power in order to guarantee a green future for the leading gaming location in Windsor-Essex. Local players are going to enjoy the same gaming offerings powered by sustainable electricity that does not harm the environment.

Companies around the world aim to reduce their carbon footprint and power their operation solely through sustainable resources. This is especially true for casino venues using tons of electricity often around the clock and seven days a week. Caesars Windsor is about to see new management taking over next year, but preparation for a better future starts now.

Casino Teams Up with Bullfrog Power

James Hollohazy, Caesars Windsorā€™s Director of Resort Operations, pointed out that the casino resort has been on the quest to make its day-to-day operation greener. Slot machines, electronic table games and more feature displays with bright colors, loud music, and lights inviting patrons to give them a try.

The amount of electricity needed is to be reckoned with and replacing it with green one is considered a step in the right direction. The hotel tower adjacent to the casino venue is also going to benefit from the green energy. There is a total of 107 digital screens sprinkled across the hotel property which would now be powered by the green energy. Bullfrog Power brings renewable energy solutions to its customers utilizing sources to the likes of wind, low-impact hydro, green fuel, and green natural gas.

Such a step is also projected to attract more individuals preferring to support a greener business utilizing sustainable resources. The casino resort is also known for the implementation of tits CodeGreen Program taking care of the e-waste and general recycling. The program involved hotel guests, as they could make the conscious decision to decline housekeeping services and reduce the negative impact of excessive water and energy use.

Windsor Reaps Benefits of CodeGreen Program

The program also includes recycling and distribution of soap bars ever since 2013, subsequently supporting local non-profit organizations in need of hygiene kits. Composting and waste diversion has also played a pivotal role in the casino resortā€™s history, as the tally shows that waste reduction currently surpasses 17 tons. Caesars Windsor also supports the collection of household batteries in special areas of the casino resort.

This summer was a milestone one, as it saw a cash-and-stock arrangement reaching US$17.3 billion. Eldorado Resorts purchased Caesars Entertainment, essentially creating the worldā€™s largest casino operator in a swift move. This merger would see Eldorado Resorts take control over the joint company with influence over a vast array of markets. Caesars Windsor is also about to welcome new management.

Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporationā€™s Tony Bitonti stated that everyday operation would continue without major changes introduced to it. The Crown corporation is going to ensure that all workersā€™ rights are taken care of and protected down the road. For the time being, no official date for the completion of the merger has been issued, but it has been clarified that it would happen next year.
