Playground Poker Club Plays Host to WPT Montreal

To most of the people, fall is the season of red wine shared with friends, but to the poker fans, it is a long-anticipated time of the year, when some of the largest poker tournaments are set to kick off. Keeping the tradition alive, Canada’s second most populous city Montreal is to kindly play host to World Poker Tour (WPT). This year WPT is to celebrate its 6th year, in which it brings dozens of exciting poker tournaments in Montreal. The Fall Classic is set to kick off on 29th October and it will be running through 16th November.

The iconic Playground Poker Fall Classic festival has been taking place in Montreal for some time and it will gather together once again poker enthusiasts, who will have the chance to experience the thrill of taking part in WPT festival. The poker arena is announced to be Playground Poker Club, where the warriors will be able to demonstrate their poker skills and strive for the lion’s share of the guaranteed prize pool, which is more than $3,300,000. The guaranteed prize pool is expected to be exceeded big time due to the great interest in the event. Players of all calibers are welcomed to try their luck in any of the 17 events, which are part of WPT’s schedule.

Poker is an enchanting play, which is also interesting to be watched. Keeping this in mind, WPT’s festivals are internationally televised, so that its poker fans are able to see some of the most notable poker players in action. Fall Classic’s Schedule and Latest Updates

The inaugural Strangers in the Night event is currently advancing its closing stages. Day 1B of the event was completed with William Blais and Issie Emin Yuzgulec as the chip leaders. They bagged the largest stack of chips to enter Day 1C of the event with a significant advantage over their opponents. By the time the clock announced the end of Day 1B, Blais bagged and tagged a stack worth 290,000 in chips, while Yuzgulec is not far behind with 280,000 in chips. Day 1C is to kick off today at 7 pm local time.

The Main Event of this year’s Fall Classic is to start on 10th November and run all the way to 16th November. The long-anticipated Main Event titled WPT Montreal is to feature a guaranteed prize pool of $2,000,000. Other events, which are expected to provoke great interest include $250 Frenzy, most popular Wild $150 and $1,100 50/50 Bounty tournament. For the players attached to high stakes games, Fall Classic is to offer High Roller 8-Max Re-entry event. The festival announced its full schedule earlier this year and it is referred to as one of the most significant poker events on Canadian soil for this year.
