Woodbine Mohawk Park Welcomes Locals

Woodbine Entertainment is ready to welcome back individuals on the premises of its racetracks and make the racing experience even more riveting for both the horse people and the fans of horse races. This Monday saw the official reopening of Woodbine Mohawk Park to live racing enthusiasts and simulcast guests ready to experience more.

August 31 was a special date for the Toronto region, as it saw the popular racetrack reopen for people willing to watch the live races right then and there. Their access to the popular Standardbred racing location will happen on a limited basis for the time being, but it is considered a step in the right direction for the horse racing field of Ontario.

People Present on Live Races

More than five months ago, the horse racing field of Ontario had to temporarily shut down its operation and hope for the best, as the uncertain situation was taking its toll on the people. The only thing allowed on the premises of the racetracks overseen by Woodbine Entertainment was the daily care for horses and their light preparation for the upcoming live season.

The first days of June saw the official return of live horse racing to Woodbine Mohawk Park in Campbellville and ever since then, live races without spectators have been in progress there. The horse people of Ontario have been patiently waiting for the official start of live racing, as wagering on the live events is what supports their operation and lives. Horse racing fans had the chance to watch the live events on TV and place their wager online.

Now it is time for a change, as they will get the chance to make their way to Woodbine Mohawk Park and experience everything live. There are certain limitations and conditions for the people making their way there. The Main Floor Race Book will be able to welcome up to 50 individuals at all times.

Special Measures

As for the apron access, it will be limited to up to 100 individuals. Individuals interested in the more family-friendly offerings such as the Mohawk Harvest Kitchen will get the chance to enjoy physically distant dining with their loved ones. The venue will work on Friday and Saturday evenings and it will provide all the conditions for safe dining while on the premises of the racetrack.

The same goes for the Tim Hortons venue part of Woodbine Mohawk Park. For the people ready to try something new and of great nutritional value, there is a Draft Beer Stand featuring food offerings to the likes to sandwiches, salads, and various snacks. Along with those, people will also have the chance to purchase non-alcoholic beverages, beer, and wine.

There are some changes to the hours of operation too. Woodbine Mohawk Park will welcome horse racing fans every day except on Wednesdays and Sundays. Operation will commence at 6 p.m. and span all the way to the end of the live races taking place.
