Bally’s Expands Alberta iGaming Presence with Two New Platforms

Ballys-launches-Bally-Bet-and-Monopoly-Casino-in-AlbertaBally’s Corporation has expanded its Canadian online gaming operations after launching Bally Bet and Monopoly Casino in Alberta, giving the company two active iGaming platforms in the province.

The Alberta iGaming Corporation confirmed on August 5 that Bally Bet Sportsbook & Casino had become available to players in Alberta. Monopoly Sportsbook & Casino also appeared on the province’s approved list of registered iGaming websites. Both platforms had already accepted pre-registration after receiving approval from Alberta Gaming, Liquor and Cannabis earlier in the year, and they started accepting wagers on August 4.

The launches add more competition to Alberta’s regulated online gambling market, which now includes 26 active sites. The province opened its regulated iGaming sector on July 13 with 22 operators entering the market on the first day. Entain’s Sports Interaction and Party Casino later joined in late July, making Bally’s platforms the next additions to the growing group of licensed operators.

Established Brands Live in Alberta

Bally’s entry gives Alberta customers access to a sportsbook and casino offering under the Bally Bet name, along with a separate casino platform built around the Monopoly brand.

The company’s current Alberta lineup includes Bally Bet Canada and Monopoly Casino & Sportsbook among the registered operators. Other companies active in the province include BetRivers, Betty Casino, BetVictor, Caesars Palace, Caesars Sportsbook & Casino, DraftKings, FanDuel, Golden Nugget Casino, Hollywood Casino, Horseshoe Casino, Party Casino, Sports Interaction, theScore Bet, theScore Casino and TonyBet.

More companies could enter the market in the future, as Alberta Gaming, Liquor and Cannabis had approved more than 50 operator sites at the time of reporting.

Bally’s has operated online casino services in Canada since 2022, when it introduced Bally’s Casino in Ontario after that province launched its regulated online gambling market. The company later updated its Ontario offering at the end of 2024 by combining sportsbook and casino products into a single Bally Bet app supported by Kambi and White Hat Gaming.

Monopoly Brand Adds Another Part of Bally’s Canadian Strategy

Bally’s gained control of Monopoly Casino & Sportsbook after purchasing Gamesys in 2021. The company brought the platform to Ontario in June 2025, following its earlier introduction in New Jersey’s online casino market.

A multi-year agreement signed in July 2025 gave Bally’s exclusive global business-to-consumer online casino rights for the Monopoly brand across regulated gaming markets. The deal allowed Bally’s to offer Monopoly-themed online casino content, including games created by Evolution after the company received licensing rights to develop online slots and live casino products connected to Monopoly and Hasbro Games.

Bally’s CEO Robeson Reeves described the agreement in July 2025 by saying it added “perhaps the most global local brand there is” to the company’s portfolio. The Monopoly platform includes themed slot games and a Monopoly Rewards program connected to the well-known board game brand.

Alongside its iGaming businesses, Bally’s also has other operations connected to Canada. The company owns a 58% majority stake in Bally’s Intralot S.A., a joint venture with lottery technology company Intralot. The business provides lottery services internationally and works with lottery organizations, including Canadian crown corporations such as British Columbia Lottery Corporation.

Bally Bet Continues North American Expansion

With the Alberta launch, Bally Bet and related interactive operations are now active across 15 North American jurisdictions. The company’s sportsbook or casino services operate in places including Alberta, Ontario, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Arizona, Colorado, Iowa, Indiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, New York, Ohio, Tennessee and Virginia, with availability depending on the type of product offered in each market.

Bally’s North America Interactive division, which covers Bally Bet, Monopoly Casino & Sportsbook, free-to-play products and other related properties, reported year-over-year revenue growth of 36% during the first quarter of 2026.

The Alberta launch marks another step in Bally’s efforts to grow its online gaming business while adding its brands to one of Canada’s newest regulated iGaming markets.
