German Poker Tour Christmas Edition to Kick Off on December 25 in Rozvadov

It is almost the end of the year and many people are already obsessed by the magical Christmas spirit, hunting for presents and baking ginger cookies. Those hoping for some festive snow have their dreams come true as it is snowing in the biggest part of Europe. For the dedicated poker fans, snow is not a good reason to miss the upcoming GPT German Poker Tour Christmas Edition at Europe’s largest poker room King’s Casino.

The Czech Republic will be once again the gathering point of poker fans, as the dear poker destination Rozvadov is to play host to the German Poker Tour Christmas Edition. The event is to kick off on 25th December and it is to run all the way through 30th December. All poker enthusiasts will have one last chance to boost their bankroll and add another notch to their belts.

Tournaments to Garner the Most Attention

The event will commence in style with the €115 buy-in Christmas Deepstack tournament. According to the schedule, cards will be thrown in the air at 6 pm local time. The guaranteed prize pool is announced to be €20,000. It is interesting to note that this is one of the biggest Deepstack events in Europe. The €299 Main Event is expected to garner the most attention. The players will compete for the lion’s share of the guaranteed prize pool of €200,000. The Main Event is to kick off on 26th December in the evening, featuring 3 starting flights and 2 more days of play. The event is to wrap up on 30th December, announcing the name of the latest champion for this year.

The players, who prefer to save €299 from the buy-in fee will be able to win a seat by participating in any of the Satellite events that are to kick off just before each starting flight of the Main Event. The buy-in fee for the Satellite events is €70. The sponsors of the event announced that each Satellite event is to offer 10 seats for the Main Event.

On 26th December is to kick off also King’s Hold’em Championship NLH. The €115 buy-in tournament offers a guaranteed prize pool of €10,000. On the next day, €115 King’s Hold’em Championship is to commence with a lucrative prize pool of €15,000. On 29th December, €110 King’s Local Championship is to welcome poker fans to try their luck, competing for the biggest chunk of the guaranteed prize pool of €20,000. Sticking to the old-established tradition, players can enjoy low and high stakes cash games, which will be available around-the-clock throughout the festival.
