Lotto Max breaks its last week prize pool, as the popular draw-based game will be offering even bigger rewards this week. This week the game will have the staggering amount of CA$128 million to give away, as the jackpot stands at its peak of CA$70 million, additionally, there is a total of 58 CA$1,000,000 Maxmillion prizes.
Each week there are two draws for the fan-favorite Lotto Max game one on Tuesday and the other one on Fridays, both held at exactly 7:30 p.m. PST. Tickets for the game are CA$5 and participants must choose three sections with seven number combinations each, to enter the draws. The main prize starts at CA$10 million and it can grow to the maximum of CA$70 million if it has not been claimed.
Million in Prizes
This week will be a historic one for the Canadian lottery as for the first time in the existence of Lotto Max the prizes accumulate to over CA$128 million. Individuals can purchase both physical tickets for the game or simply play online depending on their province of residence. Due to remaining unclaimed last week, the main prize continues to stand at the impressive CA$70 million mark.
Once the main prize reaches CA$50 million, participants in the Lotto Max game can also win a Maxmillion prize which is worth exactly CA$1,000,000. This week features the record-breaking amount of the whooping 58 CA$1 million prizes, breaking the record of last week’s 47 ones. And now the country eagerly awaits to see its latest lottery millionaire.
Latest Maxmillion Winner
Most recently Walter Gonzales from Manitoba was confirmed as the latest Canadian lotto millionaire. The Winnipeg resident says that he could not believe his eyes after first scanning his Lotto Max ticket, and seeing the sum of CA$1,000,000. The lucky winner explained that he had to check his ticket over 10 times before fully realizing what has happened.
Mr. Gonzales’ ticket was drawn as the winning one for a Maxmillion prize in the May 28 draw of the Lotto Max game. His ticket was acquired at the Red River Co-op at 1376 Regent Avenue West in the capital, and his winning numbers were 3, 14, 18, 19, 39, 41, and 45. The winner plans to save most of the money for the future and considers buying a new house at some point.
Previous Major Winner
Back in February this year, the Lotto Max jackpot has also reached its maximum. Marc and Dorothy-Ann Meilleur have been really fortunate to see their ticket to be the winning one in the February 26 draw of the game. It is safe to say that the pair’s life has been changed for the better as they were the last winners of the major CA$70,000,000 Lotto Max main prize.
Lotto 6/49 Winner
One very recent and significant Lotto prize was claimed in Ontario this week, as the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation revealed that the CA$9,000,000 main Lotto 6/49 main prize has been won. The fortunate ticket holder is located somewhere in the province, as the Crown advises every lotto player to carefully check their tickets.
