Asian Poker Tour Enters Long-Term Partnership with Macau Billionaire Poker

Macau Billionaire Poker (MBP) signed a 5-year long deal with the Asian Poker Tour (APT), under which the latter is to provide at least 2 international poker events for Macau.

The Asian Poker Tour is targeting Asia-Pacific region, aiming to popularize the game by offering poker tournaments in the major gambling hubs, and more precisely Macau and the Philippines. Being the biggest poker tournament in Asia, established in 2008, the Asian Poker Tour tries to always fit the needs of its players. For that purpose, the APT stroke a long-term deal with Macau Billionaire Poker, under which MBP is to bring at least 2 international poker events in Macau.

Macau Billionaire Poker operates a poker room at Casino Babylon since April 2016, located at the Macau Fisherman’s Wharf. Macau Poker Billionaire has established a good reputation among high rollers since 2012 and its aim is to encourage the development of the game throughout the Asian region. This year the poker company attracted the attention of many players, presenting the most massive guaranteed prize pool in Asia worth HKD 20 million.

Under the signed deal, Macau is to host APT’s year-end poker festival and Player of the Year celebrations to take place every December. Reportedly, the poker brand organized 8 events in Macau, as well as some international poker events in India, Cambodia and Vietnam. Jeff Mann, CEO of Asian Poker Tour explained that the joint venture will help APT to establish a solid reputation in Macau and reach more players, who will be able to play in a safe and player-friendly environment.

Tim Chen, Chief Executive Officer of Macau Billionaire Poker commented on the signed deal that it will give a further development of the poker industry in Asia, as the region suffered years-long slow down due to various restrictions. He expressed his excitement from entering this partnership, placing hopes that it will contribute to MBP’s expansion on the market.

The first event, which APT is to bring to Macau is APT Finale Championships Macau 2017 set to kick off on 28th November at the Babylon Casino. The event will continue for 12 days, announcing the name of the winner on 9th December. Game of Champions, the APT Finale Macau Main Event and APT Finale Macau Championships are part of the upcoming winter event’s schedule.

Currently, Asian Poker Tour is heading to South Korea, where it will hold the annual APT Korea Incheon 2017 to take place from 12th to 20th August at the Paradise City Incheon. Earlier this year, and to be more accurate in June, the APT already brought one poker event at the Macau Billionaire Poker room and it achieved great success among the poker enthusiasts.
