Amaya Announces Jerry Bowskill to Be the New Chief Technology Officer

One of the leading providers of technology-related services in the gaming and entertainment field, Amaya announced earlier today that Jerry Bowskill has been appointed to the position of Chief Technology Officer of the company and will be in charge of the technology development and the overall business strategy.

He will have various responsibilities and will report directly to Chief Executive Rafi Ashkenazi. This move is being done as a part of the bigger agenda for further expanding and diversifying the impact of Amaya on the millions of customers which already enjoy their solutions, as well as on potential future customers, which are still on the pursuit of a reliable partner in the interactive entertainment industry. More than 300 technologists and developers both in Canada and all around the world will be led by Bowskill, who will put his previous job experience to the test.

Before becoming part of Amaya, from January 2017 to June 2017 Dr. Bowskill worked at Partis Solutions as a technology consultant. This is one of the leading providers of corporate services in the industry of interactive gaming. From September 2016 to November 2016 he was the Chief Technology Officer of TouchTunes Interactive Network, one of the largest in-venue interactive music platform. This has given him the opportunity to develop his skills and now he has the chance to demonstrate them while leading a team of professionals in Amaya.

Dr. Jerry Bowskill has studied in the University of Brighton in the U.K. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Microelectronics and Information Processing and he is a Doctor of Philosophy in image processing. He continued his long way to the top as a research scientist working in an advanced applications and technology research group in the British Telecom. While he was researching he wrote more than 40 academic publications and worked as a research associate at the Media Lab of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. There he had the chance to make a study of wearable and contextual computing.

Dr. Bowskill himself said he is excited about this new opportunity and to be joining such a continuously growing tech company as Amaya. The Canadian online gambling provider was founded back in 2004 and its headquarters are in Montreal, but its services are spreading worldwide. Some of the brands the company owns are PokerStars, PokerStars Casino, BetStars, Full Tilt, StarsDraft, and the PokerStars Championship and PokerStars Festival live poker tour brands. With more than 111 million customers on a global level, this is one of the leading poker businesses in the world. As an addition, Amaya provides some non-poker related solutions, such as sportsbook and daily fantasy sports.
