Rivers Casino & Resort Schenectady Looks to Recruit Dealers

Rivers Casino & Resort Schenectady is once again offering tremendous career opportunities for New York State residents. The upstate casino has recently informed that it is offering locals a chance to join its dealer academy and seek careers in the gambling sector. Currently, the commercial venue is looking to add over 20 new dealers to its team.

The casino is owned and operated by Rush Street Gaming and it is located in upstate New York at 1 Rush St, Schenectady, NY 12305. It boasts an immense variety of gaming offerings and dining amenities, including a premium poker room, a live entertainment center, along with food and drinks amenities such as its Dukes Chophouse, Villa Italia, Flipt, and more.

All Candidates are Welcome

Most recently, the management of Rivers Casino & Resort Schenectady announced that its live dealer academy is once again available for free. Candidates who would like to join can visit the training center for walk-in interviews on Thursday, June 30, at any time from 10 a.m. to noon or 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. The property is looking to hire approximately 20 new dealers.

The dealer academy is a US$5,000 value course, which will be offered to approved candidates free of charge. It will begin shortly after individuals have been recruited and it is held at the casino’s training center located at 220 Harborside Drive, Suite 201. Classes will be held every weekday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Applicants must also be at least 21 years of age to be eligible.

Everyone who is fun, energetic, and reliable and seeks a career in gaming is welcome to apply. Candidates who have little to no experience in the sector should not worry, as the dealer academy is quite thorough and it educates people on blackjack and other novelty table games. Once participants pass their final audition and get a gaming license, they will be offered full-time or part-time positions at the casino.

Rivers Casino & Resort Schenectady’s table game dealers position offers hourly wages and tips of over US$25 per hour and a generous benefits package. If they want approved candidates will be also able to take advantage of a shuttle bus service from the local CDTA but stop. And the last condition is that candidates must be available to work all shifts, including weekends, and holidays.

Going Online

So far this year, Rush Street Gaming has managed to launch its Schenectady brand online in two major iGaming markets. First, on January 8, 2022, the company’s BetRivers sportsbook app has been made available to play online for New Yorkers. This was the first day of the opening of the state’s market, and the casino held a special ceremony to celebrate its launch and the occasion.

Later this year in April, it also joined Ontario’s brand-new online gaming and sports wagering market for private operators. CEO of the company, Richard Schwartz, expects the market to generate more revenue from gaming. He also revealed that for its first week in Ontario, the app collected its largest sports wagering handle from the Masters, as it generated 17% of the total handle.
