CA$37-Million Lotto Max Jackpot Remains Intact

Once more the Lotto Max jackpot continues to grow larges, as no winning ticket was sold for the last round. The previous draw for the nationwide lottery game was hosted on Friday, December 31, 2021, and it offered a main prize of CA$37 million. Unfortunately, no ticket from Canada’s ten provinces and three territories has managed to match the winning numbers.

Every week, lottery players have two opportunities to win prizes from Lotto Max, as there are two draws for the game. One on Tuesday, and one on Friday. Along with Lotto 6/49, the game is among the most popular draw-based games in the country, and every year locals win hundreds of millions of Canadian dollars in prizes.

No Winner on December 31

On Friday, December 31, 2021, Lotto Max had its last draw for the calendar year, but unfortunately, it was not able to find a winner for the main prize. It stood at CA$37 million, and no ticket from the country managed to match all seven winning numbers for it, which were 07, 25, 30, 35, 38, 40, 49, and 27 as a bonus number.

Players should not get discouraged as for the next round the prize will be climbing up to the staggering CA$43 million. The next draw is scheduled for Tuesday, January 4, 2022. Tickets are already available for purchase, and can be acquired at land-based retail lottery locations or depending on resident’s province of residence on one of the province’s officially regulated online platforms.

Lotto 6/49 Results

Meanwhile, Lotto 6/49 has also failed to find a winner for its main prize for its last draw, which was held on Saturday, January 1, 2021. The winning numbers were 07, 08, 15, 17, 19, 33 and 06 as bonus, however, no ticket from the country managed to match them and claim the cool prize worth CA$25 million.

However, despite no winners for the jackpot, the draw’s Guaranteed CA$1 million prize, has been designated to a ticket holder from British Columbia with number 04594498-01. Now, the winner will have up to 52 weeks to claim their windfall. The next round for the fan-favorite game is set for January 5, 2022, and it will feature a main prize worth over CA$28 million.

Impressive 2021 Statistics

Last year was quite generous to many lottery fans from Canada. For example, the British Columbia Lottery Corporation informed that in 2021 it has awarded a total of CA$891 million in lotto prizes to its residents. A total of 102 million winning tickets were sold in the province at both retail sites and online. The largest prize won last year went to Christine Lauzon, who won CA$70,000,000 from a single Lotto Max ticket.

Similar to the BCLC, the Western Canada Lottery Corporation has also published its annual lottery highlights report. The Crown agency has awarded a total of CA$348 million in prizes to its players from the prairies and the North. Out of the CA$348 million, 81 have been in the size of CA$1 million or more. Also, in 2021, Manitoba recorded its largest lottery win as a ticket holder snatched CA$60 million from Lotto Max draw.
