The special event will be held next month and executives from the industry will be exchanging and discussing how to further grow the industry.

The conference next month will be the largest one for the industry for the continent since the Betting on Sports America Digital in December 2020 that was organized by SBC. However, the gaming scenery has drastically changed ever since then as there are new market openings, new regulations, and many Mergers and Acquisitions.

Online Conference

Considering the current circumstances around social gatherings and the existence of the unprecedented situation, the event will be held entirely online starting on June 9th to 10th. At the conference operatives of gaming operators, suppliers, affiliates, sports teams, and leagues, and regulators will be able to discuss ideas and plans for additional development of the North American industry.

Topics of the discussions will include a thorough review of how U.S. sports operators can build on their initial success, challenges of developing competition, changes in state and province regulations, and how to take advantage of the growing iGaming industry. Additionally, operatives will be conversing on how the industry can develop a sustainable responsible gambling strategy, and how new technology will influence the industry.

The conference will include representatives of one of the biggest gaming brands in the region. Starting from Adam Greenblatt CEO of BetMGM, CEO of theScore John Levy, Daniel Graetzer who is CEO of Carousel Group, President of Rush Street Interactive Richard Schwartz, Director of Government Affairs for FanDuel Andrew Winchell, and many more.

Vice President for Growth & Strategy Sue Schneider of SBC stated that the rate of the development of the North American gaming market is rapid and thus bringing many new possibilities. Ms. Schneider claimed that the video conference will be a great way for industry executives to share experiences and discuss new growth possibilities of expanding the industry.

Entain Study

Global sports betting entertainment group named Entain has expressed interest in the Canadian gaming market and more specifically Ontario’s as it the biggest one in the country. The corporation has requested research from its non-profit Foundation in order to study the province’s gaming practices, player’s preferences, and gambling habits. The company is eyeing launch in Canada, as the country is on the verge of revolutionizing its gambling scenery with the introduction of single-sports wagering.

Senate

Single-sports wagering is even closer to its debut in Canada, as most recently the bill that would change the criminal code and legally allow it has been introduced to the Senate. Sponsored by Conservative Sen. David Wells, Bill C-218 will be now thoroughly assessed and reviewed by the Senate members before giving a final verdict on the matter.
