Wazdan Enhances Ontario Business via NEO.bet Collab

Leading iGaming provider of content, Wazdan, is boosting its Ontario operations. The developer of many fan-favourite casino games in the industry has now teamed up with online gambling brand, NEO.bet. As part of the collaboration, the supplier has launched a batch of 20 market-leading titles with the operator, with more on the way in the coming weeks.

NEO.bet is a German-based known for its sports wagering and eSports markets, which is owned by Reactive Betting Ltd. It made its official debut in Ontario’s regulated market for third-party iGaming operators and suppliers in April 2023. The local sector attracted interest from dozens of private entities and is currently in the top five regulated jurisdictions in North America.

The First Batch of Content Arrives

The collaboration between Wazdan and the operator saw an initial batch of 20 fan-favourite titles incorporated into the iGaming platform’s offerings. Some of those games were the high-performing Mighty Wild™: Panther, Book of Faith™, Power of Gods™: Egypt and 20 Coins™. All of these are now available to eligible bettors in Ontario.

This latest partnership is the latest commercial expansion for the provider in the competitive iGaming sector in Canada’s most populous province, where it has reaped some tremendous success. The company secured its entry into the territory back in May 2022, when it acquired its permit from the regulator of the sector, the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario.

Izabela Slodkowska-Popiel, Head of Account Management for North America and Latin America at the provider shared the company has seen growth in Canada in the last 12 months, and they are excited to kick off the new year with this partnership. She explained the platform has enjoyed quite the success, and is confident the supplier’s content will further enhance its offerings.

Lastly, Simon Erpenbach, Head of Casino for the operator, said the supplier’s product offering seamlessly combines immersive mechanics with a wide variety of themes to deliver some unique gaming experiences to fans. He added that the iGaming platform is pleased to incorporate some of the developer’s best-performing titles into its offering and introduce them to its customers.

Meanwhile, the Ontario Sector Grows Larger

This month, AGCO’s subsidiary, iGaming Ontario, oversees internet gambling in the province, issued its third-quarter 2023-2024 report on the market. Between October 1 and December 31, 2023, the province handled CA$17.2 billion in wagers, which was a hefty 21% increase over Q2. This translated into approximately CA$658 million in gaming revenue for the quarter.

Ontario’s online and regulated gaming model is slated for further expansion, as even more operators and suppliers enter the territory. This month, Peter & Sons made its debut in the province via a SkillOnNet collaboration. Some of the most popular titles from the internet casino games provider include Barbarossa, Book of Books and Wild One.
