Parq Vancouver Supports 2SLGBTQIA+ Charities

This week, Parq Vancouver announced that it will celebrate the return of Pride Long Weekend in style. The establishment revealed that it will be hosting pride-themed events in order to demonstrate its support for two local 2SLGBTQIA+ charities. These events will be hosted at the downtown casino and entertainment centre throughout July and will offer special food, drinks, and special events.

Parq Vancouver is located at 39 Smithe St, Vancouver, BC, and it is a home to different kinds of entertainment. The establishment is famous not only for its exceptional casino offerings but for its two premium hotel amenities ā€“ the JW Marriott and The Douglas Autograph Collection. The property also boasts The Spa by JW and numerous dining services.

July Celebrations

In July, Parq Vancouver will be demonstrating its pride, as the property will put on rainbow-themed dƩcor throughout its premises. It will also offer the favourite Pride Cake for CA$12 per slice at its Honey Salt, the Victor, D/6 Lounge and BC kitchen. While tables at the D/6 Lounge will be available for booking with live DJs for the entirety of the Pride Weekend.

On July 29, 2022, guests of the establishment will be able to enjoy a special Nightpresented by Stoli Elit. The event will come with welcome canapƩs, Stoli Pride Cocktails, bottle service, a slice of Pride Cake. Visitors will be entertained by Zynth & Co. who will perform an all-star drag show at 8 p.m. Reservations for the event can be made by emailing d6reservations@parqvancouver.com

The fun continues on Saturday, July 30, 2022, as the entertainment centre has invited Isabelle as a special guest host over a Drag Brunch at Honey Salt. The brunch will start at noon and continue to 3 p.m. During the month, guests can also indulge in a collection of exclusive cocktails for CA$14 each at the casinoā€™s elegant Lotus Whiskey & Tea Lounge

With its Pride-related campaign, the property will also make donations to two local organizations, providing them with programs for the 2SLGBTQIA+ community in Vancouver. The two organizations are Dr. Peter Centre, which provides food, therapies and clinical support to those living with complex medical and social needs, and A Loving Spoonful, which serves free, nutritious meals to people living with HIV and other illnesses.

The Vancouver entertainment centre is the home to many other live shows. For instance, in March this year, the property announced the return of the iconic show ā€˜AlegrĆ­a.ā€™ The spectacle ran from March 25, 2022, through May 1, 2022, and for the occasion, the venue provided many special offerings. Guests even had the opportunity to sit on a throne representing AlegrĆ­a.

Debt Crisis Resolved

Parq Vancouver opened up in 2019 and at the start of its operations, there was some uncertainty about its future, due to a lack of funds. In 2019, the casino announced that it refinanced both the first-lien and second-lien loans with a fixed rate financing structure. Thus, amassing its overall amount of debt to over CA$450 million. However, the property found financing from Dundee and PBC Group.
