Pollard Banknote Limited is one of the lottery leaders in Canada, making instant lottery gaming an attractive offering for thousands of people. The leading company recently made its way into the 2021 Report on Business Women Lead Here list. This annual list highlights Canada’s companies that work towards gender diversity and inclusion of women with ideas in the workforce.
Females in executive roles have long been praised for their resilience and professionalism, as this representation sets the tone for a change. More and more females work their way up the professional ladder and showcase excellent characteristics and leaders’ mentality. The lottery leader was listed in one of the important lists seeking progressive companies working towards diversification of the structure.
For the second year in a row, the Report on Business magazine has worked on the comprehensive list of companies with women leaders. Gender equality within the workforce is a task many Canadian companies are working towards, and, as the magazine puts it, they deserve praise for doing so. March is known for being a month praising women, which is the reason why the list is unveiled at this time.
Executive positions within the structure of the company are in the spotlight in this case, since they have the potential to trigger growth and transform the way things happen. Some of those are Chief Executive Officers, C-suite, and Executive or Senior Vice Presidents. Over the course of the past 12 months, upwards of 40 percent of Pollard Banknote Limited leadership roles have shown female leadership.
This includes Vice President roles, along with all of the departments of the company. Some of the individuals were also mentioned, such as Jennifer Westbury, Executive Vice President, Sales & Customer Development. She was part of the Public Gaming Research Institute’s Lottery Industry Hall of Fame, deserving the position as a result of her ongoing efforts.
Steps in the Right Direction
Riva Richard, Executive Vice President, Legal Affairs and Corporate Secretary, has also supported the female representation efforts and she was nominated for In-House Counsel/Legal Team of the Year at the VIXIO GamblingCompliance Global Regulatory Awards 2020. The Canadian online lottery sector is already thriving thanks to her innovative decisions. Doug Pollard, Co-Chief Executive Officer of Pollard Banknote, expressed his delight with the recognition.
The lottery products leader of Canada works in close collaboration with all five provincial Crown companies overseeing gambling. Just recently, Alberta online gaming fans had the chance to experience premium gambling thanks to the partnership between NeoPollard Interactive and Paysafe . Both organizations now oversee the province’s online lottery offerings available on PlayAlberta.ca. It could be recalled that Alberta Gaming, Liquor, and Cannabis greenlighted the platform last year.
Moreover, Pollard Banknote is also collaborating across the border, as it recently announced the extension of its partnership with the Michigan Lottery. It is a year-long contract extension that will see the companies work together till at least December 31, 2021. For the past 25 years, the Canadian leader has supported the local lottery field with its products and projections are that it will continue doing so.
